Good morning!

Dh is off, and I'm about to get ready for a doctor's appointment. A friend is picking me up and taking me, then we'll go out to breakfast.  I've taken two weeks off leading the online bible study groups. Then I will lead one more session, and I'm going to retire from it. One of the groups is with my homeschool group, so I'll be leaving  that. Another is offered for our church, but there is very little participation. I don't know what my summer and next year look like, so I'll see if anyone else wants to take them over.

  • doctor appointment
  • breakfast out
  • lunch and dinner
  • final prep for co-op classes
  • tutor 1 student in person
  • ds to last day of swim
  • take ds to D&D session, so I can have the car
  • pick up ds
  • pack up for co-op

Good morning!

Allergies are insane this week (our oak pollen is something like 5x over the "severe" range), and I took the last of my "from behind the counter" sudafed on Tuesday....need to go get some more today.

So, what else:

....coffee (lots, b/c I did not sleep well)
....finish making the last 6 weeks of lesson plan pages for Kindergarten
....prep for K for Monday

....LAUNDRY
....school with DS
.....help 20 yr old make a schedule for his gov't class so that the next test doesn't sneak up on him
....grocery shop w/DH
....(before that -- figure out food for D&D tomorrow)
....message/call friend about stopping by on Saturday; need clarification on the time frame for her "any time after Noon...."
....decide if we think the traditional "crack confetti eggs on everybody's head" routine is safe this year or not, when all year we've held a pretty tight 6 ft minimum &/or masks rule with this group (in-laws).....and if "with masks on only" makes it safe enough
...whatever I am forgetting

Have a good day!

Good morning!
I’ve started laundry, cooked bacon and will make coffee soon.

I was up late last night setting up our new-to-us laptop for ds to use. I was tired and it took forever. Still can’t get my bookmarks to synch. Did get parental control software installed and incognito mode disabled.

Today:

Beef stew ingredients into the crock pot!

Log all 8 tutoring sessions from this week.

Prep for today’s lesson, including send a Zoom link. ✔️

Work on culling mom’s stuff for the move. Meet with movers. ✔️

Interview a naturalist for AHG badge prep. ✔️

Tutor 1 student. ✔️

AHG Zoom tonight.  Will not be well attended, I suspect. ✔️

The morning didn't go quite as planned. The NP I was seeing was late, so I had to wait there a long time. By the time I was seen and checked out, I really didn't have time to go to breakfast.

So I'm home eating fried eggs and avocado toast as I type.

My afternoon student cancelled again. They are remodeling, and it's been hectic this week. I'm grateful because I needed more time on the chemistry prep for tomorrow.

had lunch

fed DS

finished doing the K weekly lesson plan sheets

watching my neighbor teach (I think) his son to mow (he is out there taking pics, so I'm guessing first time, but I could be wrong) and enjoying that

roofer guy texted DH, and he's coming to inspect the work today around 1:30 to 3:00

Decided what activities to do for K on Monday, so that is prepped, ready to print later this weekend

Made a *detailed* *with explanations* list for DS for school for the week, b/c I keep being told that my normal list is not enough and DH can't figure out what he's supposed to do on Mondays when I'm not here to supervise. If he can't figure out this week's list, then I don't know what else to do. I only ever leave him with "take the test" on Mondays, which they all should know by now, so......????? (DS, to his credit, said: "Dad, you should have shown me the list, I could have figured that at....or asked me what I had to do...." -- I don't fault him so much for not voluntarily jumping on school, since DH never even approached him about it this week.....)

DH is on the way home, and I could use a nap, but heading up to sort/start laundry first at least -- at a minimum, they had a cat puke incident yesterday that didn't get dealt with until bedtime, so the quilt in question needs to go in the wash asap, and there's some stuff waiting to be hung up

Got DS started on his math homework, and will go bookmark this week's test quizlet for him so he can study it once or twice after math

Howdie, happy April!  Try not to get fooled!

So yesterday I finished my part of the March 31 deadlines, though 2 of my clients didn't finish their part and send it out.  😕  I took a nap in the evening since I had hardly slept the previous night, and I woke up with just 20 minutes to finish one of my 3/31 reports.  I got it out on time though.

But on to today.  I slept in until about 11am, because my kids are on spring break, and that meant 4 other people were able to take care of the pup.  It feels like a holiday or something.  But I did get some client work out.

Tonight we have a dog training expert coming to our house.  So we have to clean and stuff in between client work.  The cleaning is no big deal for me, but chasing other people to clean their messes is a pain.  😕

Done:

  • Final reports sent out before 1am (12am Central time).
  • Caught up on sleep.
  • Sent out about 10 invoices.
  • Caught up on emails, news, calendar, social media, and checked the kids' grades.
  • Bill paying and checking personal business stuff.
  • Dropped off Kid1 at track practice.
  • Some house cleaning.
  • Mostly trying to get other people to do things they don't want to do.

To do:

  • More client work.
  • Pick up Kid1.
  • Make everyone seriously clean.  I will probably do the basic wiping and sweeping among other things.
  • Hoping to take an actual shower?
  • Meet with dog trainer.
  • Whatever else gets done.  What am I forgetting??

Ds is back from swim, and he is on the way to a friend's house for D&D. Dh went with him to bring the car back.

We're going to go out on a dinner date when he gets back.

I cut 200 tile splitters to make negative signs and will use those to teach adding and subtracting positive/negative numbers tomorrow in my math class.

My lesson plans are done for the first two classes. I need to finalize the last two classes. I know what I'm doing. I just have to get stuff together.

Finished school with DS

Grocery shopped, put that all away, picked up sushi for dinner, and all the stuff for all the things this weekend

D&D changed from the normal 10-6 to a sleepover, so they won't come till 2-ish, and then leave by 11 Saturday, because then we have the in-laws coming at 12:30......but that means we bought ourselves time on cleaning, so that's fine

Got the quilt in the dryer, and towels in the wash; need to swap those, and need to fold/put away stuff that was waiting in the dryer

DH says I can pick the movie tonight, so after a brief debate between The Outsiders or Hamilton, I decided I'd better go with Hamilton or else never get to pick it again.

Was it at the office that was following for Rocky Mountain Fever?  How is your health doing and did the NP help at all with figuring things out, etc?

List done.

Dinner never got made, though the beef cooked nicely in the crock pot. We had leftovers and a take n bake pizza - I’ll reheat the beef and make some veggies tomorrow night.

I’m wiped out.

Culling my mom’s stuff for moving made me really sad today. I wish she could move into more space, but it is what it is.

Having ginger lemon tea and relaxing. Next up: Jane Eyre.

I never posted again yesterday and today was a busy day for me.  So I had a very pleasant Quarantine Book Club.  Then lots of hassles getting ready for Wound Clinic appt with interruptions of medical calls,. and the fact that I realized the temperature was dropping 35 degrees but I had to go in a skirt but pack warm clothes like pants.  Couldn't find warm pants-finally decided to look in suitcase I packed, got the pants there, and grabbed them. a piece of cheese for lunch and went with my friend and deacon at my church to the appt.  It was a very long appt.  I met the doctor, nurses, etc.  Unfortunately, the doctor didn't seem to be happy with how my wound is healing.  First of all, the skin growing is growing wrongly-curling downward- plus there is another deep pocket under other skin.  My impression from him, though he only did say that I would need more debridement, meaning probably some type of surgery.  Also, he wouldn't tell me anything about prognosis except that he agrees with the plastic surgery that my prognosis for plastic surgery being successful is low.  They changed orders- with my negative pressure increasing by 100.  I was 40 and now am 140.  I can really feel it now and it hurts more but I hope it helps.  Near the end, I found out that the receptionist was wrong and they cannot legally put my portable wound vac on.  So they called the home health agency and got m,y nurse to come out and put it on. OH and I had a really good Chronic Illness support group meeting.

We had a tasty dinner and then watched Forged in Fire.

Today I stayed home but was still very busy.

Called lots of medical places like doctor offices, home health, health business offices to fix the fact that they didn't get the Tricare supplement info

Participated in aphasia Bible study and also had my counseling session

cleaned the master bathroom shower thoroughly- I never use it.  And also most of the bathroom floor.

Also started decluttering a kitchen counter.

We had a tasty delivered Japanese dinner ---- oh I also spent a lot of time researching how much food, protein, zinc, Vit C, and some other ingredient I need to eat to help heal and also watching Dysautonomia Conference talks to prepare for my virtual visit w my neurologist.

Watched Maundy Thursday service from a local church that did a really nice traditional service.

I was at the gastro doctor as a follow up on my reflux and to get a medicine refill. It is time for me to be retested on the RMSF, so I called today and left a message. Hopefully, I'll hear from them today or next week about when to come in.

Overall, I feel okay. I have tremor that is more obvious at times than others. I told the NP that sometimes I feel a little short of breath when I have gas/indigestion feeling in my stomach, but she said that is common with reflux. The magnesium gummies at night seem to help me sleep better, which makes me feel better. I am still stressed and have some anxiety about our immediate future, so I know that can make all those things worse. I guess I'm glad to feel as good as I do. I should probably go to bed earlier, but I'm not really sleepy until late at night.

Thank you so much for asking!

I'm sorry you didn't get quite the answers/prognosis you would like to have had. I pray the change will help the wound to heal properly and better!
