Good morning!

The usuals are done. We still have Callie and will arrange this week to have her to the new family. Dh has students today instead of remote learning because this Friday all the teachers get their second vaccine, so it will be the remote learning day for the week.

  • meals
  • teach 3 Zoom sessions
  • ds and I possibly go to a teen game day with our homeschool group
  • prep for tutoring in person tomorrow
  • work on co-op classes prep
  • laundry

Good morning!

My blood sugar numbers are consistently too high in the morning lately. Argh!  I’ve tested, taken meds, tidied the kitchen, started the dishwasher, checked email and gotten Dd up. Bacon is in the oven.

Today, I must begin working on getting my mom moved!

AHG things

Contact movers and possible packing assistant.

Prep for tutoring

Tutor 5 students and log sessions.

Dinner is leftovers.

Set up new to us laptop after dinner?

Good morning!  Our house is way too cold right now----- I have to check the NEST setting- since we are home almost all the time, I want our temps to be steady to set temps all the time too- not so that my outer rooms and bigger rooms go down to low 60s.  I lost the ability to self regulate my body temperature just about completely 10 years ago and I need temps to be up where I want them- 70 is okay-  anything below 68 is bad for indoors.  I currently have it set to heat-cool.  Heat to 70, cool to 72.  THat is because we are in the in between time.  Giant swings of temperature- need both heating and cooling, sometimes in the same day.

To do

Make breakfast

Shower

Tax work- I think I can get most of my work done today

Change clothes to Spring/Summer but leave some winter out too-

Call for primary care appt

Call med supply co and make sure they have my tricare supplement

call tricare supplement insurance

call hospital about supplement insurance??

call home nursing company and inquire about billing, also other services

contact home health nurse re: when coming, also to bring lots of extra sealing material

figure out exact dinner plan

make Aparagus Leek soup

make rest of dinner

One class down, thankfully! Our power went off about 20 minutes before class was to start. I waited a bit and was about to call the moms and give the kids instructions when it came back on.

Scout, I hope you can figure out the blood sugar numbers and get them improved.

Christina, our heat and air doesn't consistently work in all the areas of the house. I don't think it's as good a system as the house arrangement needed or it should have been in a different location. It's actually the original system, and the house is 17 years old, so I'm just thankful it still works!

Scout, didn't you just have your vax?  I have heard that can cause sugar spikes.  My dad had a huge, dangerous-looking spike right after one of his shots.  Anyway, I hope yours resolves soon.

Howdie, happy Monday I guess!

I'm currently on puppy duty, so I have my laptop downstairs.  My daughter says the pup has been trying to leap over his pen wall by backing up and taking a running jump.  Ugh.  We need to puppy-proof his room and get a tall door gate asap.

And, it just occurred to me that now that I have a puppy, I will probably NEVER be home alone again for the next 10 years.  😛  Though I guess having a dog here might not really count.

Done:

  • Puppy stuff.
  • Drove kids to school.  We left on time, but we were late due to a traffic jam caused by an accident right in front of the school.  (I made the kids get out and walk, but they were still late.)  I don't know if the kids' teachers will give them grace or not.
  • Caught up on emails, news, and social media.
  • Working on coffee #3.

To do:

  • Lots of client work.  The 3/31 deadlines are looming.
  • Make chiro appointments.
  • Pay some bills.
  • Figure out how to retrieve my kid's ear pods that she left in a store.
  • Amazon order and returns.
  • Calendar stuff - resolve conflicts.
  • Pick up kids from after-school band practice.
  • Make kids do homework, housework, puppy work.
  • TKD practice / class.
  • Online church from yesterday.
  • Clean the kitchen.
  • Laundry.
  • "Yoga etc." - I forgot to do most of it over the weekend, so I plan to do extra to feel caught up.
  • Walk with the pup.
  • Whatever else gets done.

I think the Pfizer does cause spikes. I did get a vax Thursday, but monitored closely and no spike. I am getting consistently too-high fasting numbers in the am. Regardless of food, exercise, and medication variables. Time to see my doc.

Rescheduled Dd’s orthodontist appt.

Called mover

Packed my lunch

Made a list

Tried to place an Amazon order. Not sure it worked?

Sent Zoom invites, but Dd tells me one won’t work, isn’t formatted properly. Can’t fix it without access to the laptop, so it will have to wait for tonight.

Yes, our house 7s a 1967 build but the first owner was a PhD aerospace engineer  who sold us the house in 2011 moving t9 a senior independent living place.  What we need is two thermostats and some way to open/close valves to rooms, etc

Totally dreading my 11:30 student. He has a crummy attitude on top of dyslexia and I think he needs a more experienced tutor to make progress.

I hate to give up $250/month though and I will not easily find another student at his time slot (late morning).

I am going to see mine today because I have what is called labile hypertension (probabably because it is caused by some of my medications like steroids and my high levels of pain but decreases a lot from other meds 8 take like muscle relaxant, anti anxiety/allergy pill, etc. )  Anyway, I figured out not why my heart rate is high but how to lower - go back on clonidine patch.

I r3alky gooe the doctor figures out how ti help your bliod dugar spikes.

The family came to get Callie tonight. I will miss her, but she'll be happy with more kids.

We went to the game day. It was fun but sad thinking about not being with the group anymore.

I've been doing some prep on my tutoring for tomorrow.

Dh wants to watch a Modern Family, such a funny show!

Didn’t get any tutoring sessions logged. Did contact one student’s mom about rescheduling a lesson.

Went to Publix for 5 things. Got more than that.

Got some info about a homeschool “prom” Dd and some friends want to attend.

Had a snack.
Ran two loads of laundry.

Relaxing now. About to read a few chapters in Jane Eyre.
