I would think probably a 4-year scholarship to college, possibly a scholarship for Junior and Senior year and expecting to commission.

Sometimes 4-year scholarships are more likely to be for National Guard.

For active duty, often they will make a 6-year commitment to be an officer.

Awesome, I hope he loves it 🙂

Btw I think, not sure, high school ROTC is informally called ROTC, but is "really" JROTC which I think stands for Junior ROTC.

ROTC is for college.  It is one of the main ways to receive a commission to become an officer.

Very exciting, way to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
