I got up early to do some work.  Had a late night last night trying to force the kids to do homework, test corrections, and back work, rather than drag things out playing on their electronics.  While this took up hours of my time, it probably didn't make a difference for my kids, who, as usual, submitted their Biology just about midnight and didn't touch the test corrections (due Friday) and Algebra (kuz Kid2 seems determined to be perpetually late on math work).

But back to today - I got up at 6:something, but I didn't start my work as yet.

Done:

  • A tiny bit of cleaning.
  • Took out the garbage.
  • Some kitchen reorganizing - making use of the new kitchen storage I bought.  https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B085NKLRM8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  • Woke the kids for school.  Told them today's schedule and reminded them to get work done early.  We'll see how that goes ....
  • Exciting moment - I successfully signed my kids up for a week-long June day camp - wildlife vet camp.  Had signed up for this last year, but it was cancelled like everything else.  This year the pickings are slim and in hot demand.  I logged in at exactly 8am and scored two spots, yay!!  So as of now, my kids have interesting camps scheduled for the majority of June.  (Wildlife vet, Jr. Medical, and culture camp.)  Hopefully sports and marching band will keep them engaged for the rest of the summer.
  • Caught up on calendar, news, emails, social media, and checked my kids' grades.
  • Working on coffee 1.

To do:

  • Lots of client work!
  • Make the kids finish their work.
  • Kids to band sectionals.
  • Kid2 to horse riding.
  • Kid1 to trumpet lesson.
  • All 3 of us to TKD.
  • Whatever else gets done.

Right now I have to address a most pressing question.  Do I go outside and pick up the garbage can that the wind knocked over?  Or leave it like that for the garbage truck guys?  Normally I wouldn't debate this, but lately I just don't feel like moving.  Sigh.  I guess I will go do it ....

Dinner was BBQ from a local place. Smoked meat is so good! Sneaked a bite of the banana pudding. Mmmm.

Dropped Dd at church friends’  to work on a sewing project. Dh is picking her up.

Next up: a bit of computer work, then reading a book before bed. Need to wind down.

Scout, sorry it is a stressful day! Praying all goes well with this transition for your mom and all you have to do in it.

I got one big thing and a couple of small ones done for mom today.

Tomorrow I do the electronic signature on her contract, mail her health insurance payment, and collect needed items from her apt.

Friday I’ll deliver her things (drop off - no visiting), see about getting electronic access to her bank accts, and begin working through the secondary paperwork (a big stack!).

Next week, I’ll begin on the actual moving details.

Until next Thursday’s conference call with her rehab team, I really have no clue how long til she gets out and needs a home to come back to.
