Good morning! I had a hard time going to sleep last night - worried about several family things.
Kids are up and doing hw. Laundry is running. Bacon is in the oven.

Today:

  • Ds to school. ✔️
  • Call mom. No answer. Worried. She is not getting the care she needs.
  • Chx in marinade
  • Order dog food ✔️
  • Shower ✔️
  • Turn in AHG award forms
  • Pack my lunch
  • Tutor four students and log sessions.
  • Walk?
  • Check Algebra

Write 2 sympathy letters (and arrange for Masses before I write in cards that we have requested them).

Follow up on a few password changes & pay some bills.

Most exciting...clean out refrigerator as our new one is being delivered this afternoon!  Finally!  It has taken 3 months to get here.  (To go along with this - set dog up in master bedroom.  The dog!  Always have to consider the dog!)

Hi guys!  After a very busy weekend, it's time to try to get focused back on work.

I'm practically alone for the moment.  The talkative person is off doing meetings, and the other 3 people here are sleeping.  It's a nice feeling.  If only I didn't have work stress tinging every moment with guilt.

Done:

  • Woke up, yay!
  • A tiny bit of cleaning.
  • Caught up on emails, news, calendar, social media, and checked kids' grades.
  • Working on Coffee 2.

To do:

  • Lots of client work!!
  • A little laundry, reading, housework.
  • Make the kids do their school work (remote day), practice their instruments, keep their room straightened, and pick up after themselves around the house.
  • Try to make it to TKD.
  • Catch up on 2 church services with the kids.
  • Read aloud?  Work on Spanish and Geography?
  • Walk.
  • Try to make a dent in the bigger personal and work to-dos that I posted in yesterday's thread.

Scout, I'm so sorry your mom isn't getting the care she needs! I am praying for her and you!

Familia, welcome to the thread, and I'm sorry for the losses.

SKL, I love when there is peace and quiet. That is pretty much all the time now, though, because ds tends to stay in his room doing his own thing. The only noise comes from dh playing the tv louder now and the occasional drama from me when I am upset with ds over school. LOL!

Two classes done.

Breakfast is done.

I'm eating my lunch early because of my next class.

Our new bird feeder is attracting a lot of birds!

Made and answered multiple calls trying to get immediate care for my mom, a short term move to skilled nursing, and a permanent move to assisted living. This will take all of my free time for the next several weeks, I expect.

Apparently:

 Start school

 Deal with bickering children

Send them out to clean up garden boxes

Cry because I struggle to parent effectively with this damn disease, can’t go outside currently, can’t raise my voice, and generally feel sorry for self.

Do Bible

Have Coffee

Generally get over self and carry on.

After a zillion phone calls, my mom is going to a skilled nursing facility today and will move from her independent living place to an assisted living within the same company in the next couple weeks.

Made good progress on my list today, though no walk.

Mom is settled at a good place for a few more weeks of PT and OT. She is determined to walk and be weight bearing again and I love that.  I am happy that she is safe and well cared for. Next thing is to get her moved to a new permanent place. Lots of paperwork!

Done:
Two loads of laundry folded and put away. More running.
Ate a light supper; probably need more.
General tidying all over the house.
Completed online forms for football camp.
Ordered two Dolley Madison awards for AHG girls, one of whom is my Dd. So proud of her!
Phones are charging
Printed a BSA document for Ds
Packed a lunch

Next up:
Make a list for tomorrow
Finish the laundry
Try to unwind and relax so that I can sleep better tonight

Thanks Scout. How is your mama feeling about the transition? It sounds like an ideal scenario. ♥️

I didn’t feel awesome this morning and I’m not sure if it’s a bug or a weekend sushi date gone awry, but I spent most of the day sick. Got a great three hour nap. DH grilled. Ready for bed again. Cheers for a better Tuesday! ♥️

Scout, I'm so glad all that seems to be working out for the better!

Kelly, I think of you often. I pray you feel better tomorrow!

My zoom classes were longer today because I had a lot to cover in all of the classes.

Lesson planning is done for tutoring tomorrow.

I am taking on a new school student in chemistry. I hope what I'm learning and teaching in our co-op translates well to what he is doing. It's our pastor's son, and they have 5 kids.  I may go to their house instead of them coming here if that helps them out more.

I couldn't buy dd's gift because I needed her new email address. She sent it tonight, so I'll do that tomorrow.

I didn't get to the laundry room.
