Good morning everyone. I hope to get some things done today and NOT nap. I can't afford to lose the time. Plans are to:

Church AM and PM

Go work in my classroom-we have open house Tuesday evening and I have some things to get caught up on.

Fix something for dinner or get take-out

Launder sheets

Put assignments up on Google Classroom (message to schools-It would be so much easier to have one teacher have all the virtual students so that teachers aren't doing both traditional and virtual.)

Math Teacher; I have friends teaching, and they'd say the same -- can we please assign virtual teachers and in person, not give both to everyone?  Big hugs to you trying to manage it.

My list today:

....laundry (for real this time)
....print/file all the K/1st stuff (working on that now - done printing, need to file)
....edit/print/gather all the stuff for our Open House which is tomorrow after school -- not enough time to really come home/go back, so going to have to take all that with  me in the morning and then hang out over there somewhere......I *think* all I need to do is edit the dates on my handouts from last year
....SEW -- got all the pieces cut last night (yay!) so work on finishing the last part of the mystery quilt today
....make sure middle DS does his Gov't test, and works on computers
...make sure youngest DS does his geography test
....figure out lunch/dinner -- one of the boys was tasked with putting the leftovers up last night......he brought them downstairs, and left them, open, on the counter.....:sigh:
....probably Cobra Kai after dinner since we caught up on Wanda Vision (holy cow!!!)

Good morning!  Scout, hope that your mom is doing well.  Math Teacher, I get it.  They have already made parents/students fill out survey for next year.  There will be one online school, one in-person learning.  No more dual roles.

Dd got into Iowa State.  That's her #1 choice, so she is elated.

To do:

  • church? It is crazy windy here today, so it makes the decision to not go out a lot easier.  I'm not steady on the crutches yet.
  • grade essays
  • plan meals for week, look at some new keto recipes
  • work on reading journal
  • read for 52 week challenge
  • lesson plan for week
  • not sure yet about dinner

Good afternoon!

Dh is a teacher where students have the option for remote learning (can't stream virtual for the entire system in his county, so-so internet there). I asked his opinion, and he said for his school it would be difficult to set it up where one teacher has all the remote students because that teacher would have so many preps or very few students in certain areas. Their school has a very small percentage of the 9th graders choosing remote and quite a few of the seniors with maybe 30% of the 10th and 11th graders. They have the in person students doing the same lessons (on Chromebooks) as the remote students, so the lesson planning isn't different. They also have all the kids home on Mondays to give the teachers time to help remote kids more. That has helped tremendously.

We went to church and ate lunch here at home.

  • work on lessons for this week
  • ds do some more SAT stuff
  • tidy house
  • play a game
  • watch something

I really took the day off yesterday, other than a few simple tasks.  So today I hope to get some more things done.

So far I haven't done anything other than talk, fold laundry, wash my hair, and watch stuff on the computer.

I didn't end up doing much in my kids' bedrooms as I'd hoped.  I think the mere thought of going in there and cleaning made me tired, LOL.

I will pick up Kid2 around 3pm; she then wants to go to Hobby Lobby.  Then at some point, I want to do the following today:

  • Do 2 online church services & some reading with my kids.
  • Get the kids to clear out their rooms at least somewhat - dirty clothes, garbage, school papers, books.
  • Make the kids do homework and practice instruments.
  • Lots of client work for a March 1 deadline.
  • Walk.

SKL, is your Hobby Lobby open on Sundays? Ours is not, but I thought that was all of them.

Load 1 is in the dryer, Load 2 in the washer

I got all the individual units made for the last section of the mystery quilt, and am ready to start assembling them into the bigger units

I got all the stuff for K/1st ready/packed for tomorrow, minus a grocery run I need to do

I printed/pulled off the shelf all the stuff for Open House tomorrow, and will organize it.....later

Taking a nap

At an extended family party. Zzzzzz. Dh’s family and I just don’t click.

Dinner is being served and it’s a good thing I enjoyed the appetizers because everything is either high starch or has sugar - even the salads.

I’m ready to go home and read a book.

hugs, Scout. I get that. I'm sorry about the food, though; that part stinks.

Did the grocery run, cabbage water boiling now for our red cabbage acid test tomorrow.

DH found cardboard for me so 1st grade can make "unbreakable mirrors" in class, sitting down to cut it up now.

Nope, I didn't know that before, but I know it now.  😛

Everything is ready for tomorrow, for school and open house. I even remembered to post my homework sheet NOW on the website, and then tomorrow between class & Open House, I can write the emails on my laptop (remember to take my laptop) and turn on my Hot Spot real quick to send it.

I even tested out our cabbage water thing -- so cool!!! Why have I not been doing this all along?!

The boys are still schooling, so DS & DH are video gaming, so I am going to sew for a bit and then watch TV. I have 4 more bits laid out ready to sew, so will try and do that at least. I have a good hour of sewing time before I hit my "too late to sew" limit.

Oh, and remember to go swap laundry. Almost forgot....

Reader, thanks for mentioning posting homework. I made the docs but didn’t post them in the Google classrooms.

Ds took a full practice test and actually scored a bit lower than his other test. I am regretting the money spent on the prep website.

Dinner was a new favorite, turkey teriyaki stir fry.

I decided to work on my resume and made a lot of progress.

Oh no! I must have missed that with being out some last week. I am so sorry to hear that and pray she is okay and they are able to apprehend the person. I will miss her!

Her post was it’s own thread, not on the Tackle thread.
