Sebastian (a lady) Posted February 20, 2021 Share Posted February 20, 2021 Common App just released the personal statement essay prompts for 2021-22 (the application for students starting as freshmen in Fall 2022). The application itself wont go live until summer of 2021, but students can start thinking about what they want colleges to know about them that isn't already in their application. There is one new prompt that replaces a prompt that was seldom chosen. The new prompt asks a student to write about gratitude. It can be a good idea to tackle essays, activities lists (which allow a brief description), and supplemental writing questions in the summer before senior year.
