aug17girl Posted February 6, 2021 Posted February 6, 2021 My 13-year old eighth grader wants to do some independent study with his microscope. I am looking for recommendations for a larger set of prepared slides and a secular biology reference book or curriculum for him to use with the slides. We are afterschoolers. Quote
Miss Tick Posted February 6, 2021 Posted February 6, 2021 You might check out the Illustrated Guide to Home Biology Experiments. The book is available free, although i do better with paper copies, so i bought that. The website is the Home Scientist There is more than just microscope experiments. They sell full kids, but you can also buy things separately, so you could buy the slide set they have to go with the book. There are some environments that have you make slides as part of the experiment. There is a page that ties the experiments to many common biology books (secular and not). Quote
