Ausmumof3 Posted February 1, 2021 Posted February 1, 2021 Just wondering how long this is likely to take. It doesn’t look like a full year text? And what comes after it? Quote
Arcadia Posted February 1, 2021 Posted February 1, 2021 A summer 🙂 or whatever amount of time. This is next https://artofproblemsolving.com/store/item/intermediate-counting 1 Quote
regentrude Posted February 2, 2021 Posted February 2, 2021 Took us a semester. We put it in the middle of algebra when we needed a break after ch. 13 and resumed algebra after C&P. 1 Quote
wendyroo Posted February 2, 2021 Posted February 2, 2021 DS is currently doing C&P and geometry concurrently. He only spends about 2 hours a week on C&P, started in August, and is about half way done. 1 Quote
bibiche Posted February 2, 2021 Posted February 2, 2021 We did it in a summer. It was a lot of fun. 2 Quote
Clemsondana Posted February 2, 2021 Posted February 2, 2021 We did it as a break after Algebra and easily did it in a semester. 1 Quote
daijobu Posted February 2, 2021 Posted February 2, 2021 Definitely a semester course. You can pair it with Intro to Number Theory. 1 1 Quote

Ausmumof3 Posted February 2, 2021 Author Posted February 2, 2021 Alright thank you all! I suspect we will be a little slower than that but maybe first time will see it through. 1 Quote

Having decks of Aladdin playing cards and being used to gin rummy, poker, blackjack at home helps 😉 ETA: The Number Theory book is worth going through as well if you have time. There is no intermediate textbook so DS16 took the class https://artofproblemsolving.com/store/item/intro-number-theory Edited February 2, 2021 by Arcadia Quote
