And another site says he tricked the NY Post into believing the story. It sounds a little “cover your bottom” to me? I wonder which is real. He wouldn’t win the Upstanding Son award from me in either case. 🤦‍♀️

My husband and I were talking about it this morning after I read your link.  I figured it was fake because you don't get a 2nd mortgage on someone else's house via a zoom call. He said the guy had stated that the story was fake.

He's got his 15 minutes. And, maybe he's also demonstrating the absurdity our financial system.

Him trolling reporters is definitely the one that is real. There is no such thing as having "settings" on your mortgage that would allow getting a second mortgage approved within hours, much less actually getting the money and not verifying your identity.

He may have had their permission to post the fake story.
