BlsdMama Posted January 29, 2021 Posted January 29, 2021 Do I send my son a thank you for not being this yahoo? https://www.google.com/amp/s/nypost.com/2021/01/28/22-year-old-risked-parents-mortgage-on-gamestop-you-only-live-once/amp/ You only live once? And a pretty short life at that if you secretly mortgage my house, little one. Oy. Quote
BlsdMama Posted January 29, 2021 Author Posted January 29, 2021 And another site says he tricked the NY Post into believing the story. It sounds a little “cover your bottom” to me? I wonder which is real. He wouldn’t win the Upstanding Son award from me in either case. 🤦♀️ 1 Quote
marbel Posted January 29, 2021 Posted January 29, 2021 (edited) My husband and I were talking about it this morning after I read your link. I figured it was fake because you don't get a 2nd mortgage on someone else's house via a zoom call. He said the guy had stated that the story was fake. He's got his 15 minutes. And, maybe he's also demonstrating the absurdity our financial system. Edited January 29, 2021 by marbel 3 Quote

There is no such thing as having "settings" on your mortgage that would allow getting a second mortgage approved within hours, much less actually getting the money and not verifying your identity. 4 hours ago, BlsdMama said: He wouldn’t win the Upstanding Son award from me in either case. 🤦♀️ He may have had their permission to post the fake story. 4 Quote
