Can anyone link me to chewable adult-strength ibuprofen?

I'm working on getting this man-child to be able to swallow pills, but using lots of junior strength ibuprofen in the meantime is tedious. It has to exist, but I'm not finding it....

I haven't seen that.  I used to crush adult ibuprofen between two spoons and then mix with applesauce or honey or yogurt.  Dc got tired of that and started just chewing the pills, but I insisted that it was important to learn to swallow them whole.  Eventually, my dc learned to swallow whole pills in a spoonful of applesauce or yogurt.

I don't know if liquid is available by prescription, but it might be if you're interested.  I remember my SIL getting a prescription for liquid Tylenol when she was in hospice for cancer because she couldn't swallow pills anymore.

Thanks for the links to alternatives. I thought it existed because I swear I've seen it in the store. I searched & found a study on chewable ibu bioavailability. I guess it was just a figment of my imagination. I just need it for days when the now-bigger-than-me kid has mouth pain due to braces adjustments. We are working on getting him to swallow pills but nothing has worked yet (including trying with partially dissolved TicTacs!). All my other kids had it down way before this age...

I will sometimes take chewable tylenol or ibuprofen because I can no longer take meds on an empty stomach.  And when I have a migraine at 2 am I don't always want to go find something to eat so that I can take medicine.  Anecdotally, I think the chewable works faster.

I would love to know bc one of my teens will not swallow a pill- ever.  She has had gag reflex issues since birth and does not do some textures.  We have tried the Advil Minis, still gagged.  Currently I give a huge does of children's liquid or chewable.

The quick-dissolve ibuprofen may also be known as effervescent or soluable ibuprofen, depending on who makes it.  (In the UK, a number of own-brand supermarket labels exist, as well as the ). I have also had success with using cold relief sachets for temporary pain relief (just be careful that you pick one with only ibuprofen, or that whatever else is in there is also appropriate).

There are lots of options for adult chewable aspirin, but I cannot see the equivalents for ibuprofen. Perhaps someone else can.
