  • Walked a little over 5K to make up for yesterday's shortened walk.
  • Did my daily PT exercises.
  • Did a 12-minute arm workout video.

Now icing my knees and trying to switch to focusing on work.

Will do my usual after-work or after-dinner second walk to top off my step count and log miles for the Year of the Ox challenge.

I didn’t do anything movement related and now it’s 3 am and I can’t sleep

Hate it when that happens.

My sleep has been messed up due to deadlines and fil’s care. That cycle of sleepy-when-I-need-to-be-awake and wide-awake-when-I-want-to-sleep is a killer.

No movement all weekend. Just work and feeling intimidated by wintry cold.

Did a gentle workout this morning and am grateful. I need to remember that even a little movement always makes everything feel much better.

I've been slacking so I made an intentional decision to make sure I moved today.  I just finished 35 minutes on my stationary bike.  It's about the lowest end bike you can get so I don't know that it qualifies as an actual 35 minutes on a bike, however I moved and didn't sit on my behind for at least 35 minutes so its a win for me.  Yay!

I did 30 minutes on my stationary bike. I'm in a spot where my current resistance level feels a bit too easy now and the next step up feels way too hard. So today I  spent a little time in that "next step" resistance level. Later I did pilates with an abs focus.

I plan to do some type of relaxation focused movement later tonight.

When you do all that walking, are you on concrete sidewalks? Those are so hard on the knees. If you can walk on the asphalt for at least part, if not most of it, your knees will likely thank you. Dirt trails, etc are also better. Sidewalks are killer on them.

Did a 1 hour DDPY live class on Zoom this afternoon at 1pm - kicked my butt! Lots of standing on one leg stuff and my balance is still so bad. Plus allergies are acting up so fluid in my ears makes balance even worse I think. And I don't know why, but lately I'm having more muscle cramps - my feet kept cramping during today's workout and yesterdays, and then when I did my 30 minutes of physical therapy exercises my glute cramped up so badly I had to pause the app and breathe through it until it went away. Like, charlie horse type pain - but in my booty! Not sure if I'm just not drinking enough, or if I need to alter my diet a bit - I'd had little to no carbs?

Going to use a therapy ball to roll my feet as they still are a bit not right. Didn't do any cardio yesterday or today, but got 90 minutes of exercise both days. And oh - I pressured cleaned part of the patio today too.

tomorrow going to try to go easier on DDPY maybe, and get my cardio in. Trying to get in the cardio AND DDPY AND physical therapy is throwing me off.

I am mostly on concrete. I need as flat and even a surface as I can find, given that I still trip easily.

Given the nice potpourri of health issues I'm now managing, it's a fun juggling act figuring out which parts of me need the most babying at any one moment.

Oh, that's right. Would the asphalt be even enough? Or maybe do a percentage of your milage on a local school track?
