Happy Friday!

Does anybody want a job, because I need to retire!  JK - training a new person would be even more work!

So last night, I learned that my work over the next week will be about twice as much as I thought it would (and it was already very heavy).  Remember how I said a big part of my June deadline was moved to January?  Well, due to the way the government designed a new process, it turns out that more like 95% instead of 50% of my June deadline has been moved up.  This is not fair!  I cussed a lot.

It doesn't help that a computer glitch corrupted many files on my hard drive.  I need to go into my archived emails and open each one and save them.  We're talking probably 200 documents.  Like I had nothing better to do.

I slept longer than I meant to overnight.  Was late sending an email this morning, but I got that out.  Hopefully today is one of my most productive days ever.

Done:

  • Helped kids with their biology in the middle of the night.
  • Slept some.
  • Finished one client project and sent it, yay!
  • Kids up, ready, fed, and off to school on time, yay!
  • Caught up on emails, news, calendar, social media, and checked kids' grades.
  • Working on coffee 2.

To do:

  • Lots more client work!
  • Call school re summer options.
  • Kid2 to horse riding.
  • Pick up dental retainer from dentist.
  • Dinner out, probably.
  • Whatever else gets done.

Today is a milestone day!  Dd is 18!  Wow...

 To do:

  • work/teach/school
  • figure out what to eat for dinner (dd is not into celebrating due to Covid restrictions/might coax her to go out anyways)
  • call vet for meds for dog
  • cake and presents
  • read for 52 week challenge

Home from tutoring -- they had no power, so we sat with curtains open for light. Luckily it's cool temps. Four yr old was squirrely today, but hilarious -- *she* was tired of school, so we had the stuffies help us (her idea). Spikey the dinosaur and Olaf the teddy bear (who is only named Olaf, and isn't really Olaf), cut, glued, played ABC bingo, did puzzles, did rhyming pages, matching first letters (they are very good at that), etc.  because the 4 yr old was too tired to do school. I happily played along. She cracks me up! (and yes, this is one of many reasons why I keep standing firm on no, she's not ready to be in my K class, and no, she's not ready/doesn't need a 2nd day/week of this).

Came home, had a text from my sister asking questions about a sew-along we're doing. Went to the website, checked it out, sent her my answer and that corrections had been posted. She replied she'd got it. (then why ask me??) Printed my instructions and noted the corrections.

Next up -- lunch, school with DS, (nap??), my prep work, and then....sewing!!!

omigosh! The baby is an adult... how are you feeling about that?

Busy day  - did all the running.  Refilled all supplements for the week and ordered what was needed.
Printed off tax documents for DH
Canceled the device protection I've been meaning to cancel FOREVER on two of our phone lines.  (One was three years later... SMH.)
Paired all the socks so we don't have to do it on SATURDAY!
Cleaned up the bathroom, took a shower, folded mine & DH's laundry.

The house is clean, the laundry is caught up, I am done with classes for the first time in like four years....  Ya'all, this weekend is NOTHING to do.  I have no idea how I'll spend it?!

Happy 18th, Readinmom's DD!

I finished school with DS; his spelling is suffering, which reminds me we've majorly slacked off on Barton now that his reading is so much better....oops. Time to pull that back out.

Got printables/activities planned for all the classes, still need to actually print/load but that can also happen Sat/Sun, and I really want to sew......still, thinking maybe I'll do all the school junk today/now so I can sew uninterrupted all day tomorrow.....???

Went with DH to drop off a package, grab some stuff from the grocery store that he'd forgotten (plus this one grocery has the taco shells we like)

Printing the stuff and loading the bag, b/c I really want as little school stuff over the weekend as possible.....or, not, b/c DH is "requesting" me to join them in the backyard.  Okay, then.
