I got a mini trampoline for my birthday yesterday, and today it was supposed to be raining during my morning walk time, so I did some rebounding instead. Total time I spent doing that was 25 minutes, not including the breaks I had to take. It was a great cardio workout and my knee is not in pain at all! YAY!

And during those breaks, I did arm work. 😁

Yay for you!

I bought myself a mini trampoline just a few weeks before I broke my arm over the summer and was enjoying figuring out how to incorporate it into my routine. Between the broken arm and the vertigo, I've been off the trampoline, but I was thinking yesterday that it might be time to pull it out again. I just want to wait until I have a chance to discuss it with the physical therapist (new diagnosed arthritis in my knees) on Monday.

I'm glad you're having fun with it, and thanks for the reminder!

What I found when researching is that rebounding is actually great for people with arthritis (or other knee problems, like I have). Definitely discuss it with your PT!

Not sure why I woke up so sore and tired today, but it took every bit of my willpower to drag myself out of bed and out for a walk this morning.

  • Walked 4.6 Winter Warmup kilometers.
  • Did my daily PT exercises.
  • Did some low-impact cardio with Pahla B. (I definitely felt pretty creaky and stiff, but I did my best.)

I'm currently about 17 miles behind where I wanted to be in the Year of the Ox challenge but also a good 10K ahead in Winter Warmup. So I'm thinking I may credit all of my walks over the weekend to Year of the Ox to catch up a bit.

That said, the plan is to get out for a good walk after work today. Husband is playing games online with his buddies, meaning I don't need to worry about going through the ceremony of putting dinner on the table and can wander as long as my motivation and knees allow.

I did the walk at home boosted walk for my cardio and abs (actually transverse abdominis) based pilates this morning. I'll probably do a stretch type pilates at some point later today.

Yay purpleowl! I'm glad it worked so well for you!

15 minute DDPY this morning.  Then 2 miles of easy walking with my students.   After work was 4 miles of hiking through snow/slush/ice with a friend.  That was a much harder workout.

Had a PT evaluation where I definitely did some movement, then did the 30 minute routine she gave me when I got home. Jenny, did they email you your exercises to do via an app? It's pretty cool, although I had to go into settings to increase the rest times between sets - 5 seconds was not enough!

Then I did a 94 minute yoga class on zoom, focusing on engaging the core muscles that the physical therapist has me working on.

About to go sit in a hot epsom salt bath because between the PT and the DDPY I'm pretty beat up, lol. And I overstretched the back of my calf/knee or something I think on one leg. Grr.

Oh, and I STILL have to do more PT - one of the exercises is twice a day. Bugger. Guess I'll do that before the bath.
