JennyD Posted January 12, 2021 Posted January 12, 2021 DS15 and I had such a good experience reading some of the Greek tragedies with the Vandiver lectures that I'm looking to do the same with Shakespeare. The Great Courses has several different Shakespeare courses available, though: Conner, Saccio, and Kinney. Does anyone have any experience/recommendations for these? (Or any other great Shakespeare resources you used in high school, for that matter.) Quote
klmama Posted January 12, 2021 Posted January 12, 2021 Dc used lectures by both Connor and Saccio, but didn't listen to all of them in either set (because of not reading all of the works they covered). Dc listened to the general info and then just to the lectures over works read. They were helpful, albeit not as fascinating as Professor Vandiver's lectures. 1 Quote
Miss Tick Posted January 12, 2021 Posted January 12, 2021 My dc have been enjoying the Roy Speed Shakespeare classes. One downside is that it is not conducive to studying it together family-wise. I've also needed to keep up with a writing focus outside of that class. 1 Quote
