purpleowl Posted January 8, 2021 Posted January 8, 2021 Friday! Hooray! These threads are for those who'd like accountability and encouragement in doing intentional daily movement. Anyone may join in at any time! Quote
Ausmumof3 Posted January 8, 2021 Posted January 8, 2021 Did my nightly walk. Was nice and cool after the heat. 4 Quote
Harriet Vane Posted January 8, 2021 Posted January 8, 2021 I must somehow fit in a good walk and some paddling for upper body. 3 Quote
ktgrok Posted January 8, 2021 Posted January 8, 2021 Nothing yet - goal is to do the 90 minute DDPY Burn class tonight (with a special guest instructor who I have wanted to take a class with - yeah) and then MAYBE an intro to foam rolling class that is taught by another instructor. But that one is RIGHT after the burn class, not sure logistically it will all work out, or if I can abandon my family for that long. 3 Quote
Ottakee Posted January 8, 2021 Posted January 8, 2021 (edited) 2 hours outside and 4 1/2 miles of outside walking.....30° and sunshine here in West Michigan. Edited January 9, 2021 by Ottakee 4 Quote
Jenny in Florida Posted January 9, 2021 Posted January 9, 2021 Walked 4.7K this morning for Winter Warmup. Did 20-ish minutes of low-impact cardio with Pahla B. Did my daily PT exercises and stretches. Walked another 3.3 miles for the Year of the Ox. Exceeded my daily minimum step goal for the 16th day in a row (meaning I can now justify bumping the minimum for the week starting on Sunday). 3 Quote
sbgrace Posted January 9, 2021 Posted January 9, 2021 (edited) I did the Walk at Home boosted walk (30 min), pilates, and some weights work today. I somehow strained my back a little at the end of the pilates, so I think I'll add a stretch pilates session before bed tonight. Edited January 9, 2021 by sbgrace 3 Quote
ktgrok Posted January 9, 2021 Posted January 9, 2021 I did 1 hour and 28 minutes of the DDPY burn class which was actually leaving early in order to make the foam roller class. That ended up being a bit of a workout too, just from using your upper body to hold yourself up while rolling lower body. I also pressure washed the patio to get some of the pounds of dirt off of it that my dogs tracked onto it, in hopes of lessening how much makes it in the house. 4 Quote
Harriet Vane Posted January 9, 2021 Posted January 9, 2021 I took a good walk but have yet to work on paddling for my upper body. Still a few hours to go before bedtime... 3 Quote
purpleowl Posted January 9, 2021 Author Posted January 9, 2021 This morning was another one where I couldn't fit in a walk, but I did 4.4 miles this evening. The weather was chilly for just standing outside, but absolutely perfect for walking. 3 Quote
Melissa Louise Posted January 9, 2021 Posted January 9, 2021 Missed out yesterday as my mum was in hospital and I had unplanned babysitting to do. Hanging out for yoga in the morning. Hoping for a short walk with babysittee in tow! 4 Quote
Jaybee Posted January 9, 2021 Posted January 9, 2021 (edited) Repeated my 100 squats and 50 meager pushups. Not so sure starting out with that many squats was a good idea, because I'm finding the process of sitting and standing slightly excruciating, lol. My poor mushy muscles. ETA: It is nice to know, however, that with all the squishiness, there are actually still muscles under there! Edited January 9, 2021 by Jaybee 2 Quote
