Good morning!

The usuals are done: dh off, fed Callie, bible study groups.

Our co-op has decided to not meet tomorrow! I'm so thankful. I teach four classes this semester, all different ages, so I was not looking forward to that much exposure to people. Dh's school met for two days and is going virtual for almost two weeks. They had to get in some required tests that didn't happen before Christmas.

I had just 3 kids in my class at church last night, but I had to keep using hand sanitizer all night. For some reason, one boy has really taken a liking to me and wanted to hold my hand every where we went. We move between our classroom, larger worship room, and our activity center for game time. It's kind of nice since I don't have littles anymore!

  • meals
  • school with ds
  • finish chemistry test prep review (I'll offer it on a Zoom meeting)
  • ds to swim
  • see if my younger classes at co-op would like a Zoom meeting as well and figure those out

Good morning Amy and all!  Hoping to rope in some routine and order today! The fam's van buying fiasco of 2020 ENDED yesterday (and ended nicely, thank goodness) with the return of the original purchase and the purchase of a different van, which I LOVE so all is well that ends well.  However, we got up at 3:15 to drive to Wisconsin, drove home, had DD's baptism (hooray!), made dinner, and went to bed.  Woke up still wiped out!  I'd like to put a nap on today's list! :P

supplements
coffee & smoothie
flip school today and do littles before olders
kiddo to mock trial
pick out tile for the new bathroom
supper
pick up kiddo this evening
SLEEP

Good morning! I have a mostly at home day today. Lots of cleaning up, organizing, etc. Dh went to the office today and will do the school drop off/pick up. I love a day to catch up!

Done: Bloodwork appt., gas for my car, make coffee.

To do:

  • b’fast and medication
  • Finish taking down Christmas decs.
  • Call mom ✔️
  • Library
  • Thrift store
  • Laundry ✔️
  • Electronic chores:  confirm next week’s medical appt as telehealth, bank/bills, email a homeschool friend some resources. This may get bumped to tomorrow. Today is a busy, active day and tomorrow can be a deskwork one.

Howdy!  Glad to be done with the last "celebration day" for a while.  Hopefully now I can focus better on work, house maintenance, and health.

The day started with me being criticized for something that wasn't even actually happening with my kids.  Now I have a headache and stiff neck which will possibly last for days.  Yay!  Most likely an ongoing fight will ensue between two people who don't know how to let things go.  Can I just leave?

Done:

  • Was up past 1am finishing the birthday girl's movie.
  • Woke at 7:30 to get the kids going on school, then went back to bed.  Slept until 10ish.  (That was not the plan, but ....)
  • Coffee, calendar work, and checked news, emails, and social media.

To do:

  • Lots of client work.
  • Kid2 to horse riding.
  • Church (online) with kids.
  • Make the kids do homework and music practice.
  • Clean up the house.
  • Reading - might finish my book today?
  • Laundry?
  • Yoga, walking, TKD practice.
  • Whatever else gets done.

SKL, feel better; I hate stupid arguments.

got the K stuff done to week 25

got the tutoring done online; the student is getting ornery (and mom never popped in) - she does not love doing things that are hard, which I suppose is why mom hires me for those parts, but trying to zoom tutor to a blank screen (b/c she's covered the camera with her portable white board), and trying to keep a googly-eye covered 8 yr old on task when she'd rather be doing anything else is.....challenging

texted the puppy-mom, told her we do really have to say no even though I so very much want that dog; she understands

posted on my FB, and a friend who told me how it was too much for us chimed in that she'd take her maybe, LOL! so, she may have a new home, we'll see....waiting to here if friend/freind's DD sort it out (this is g'ma to the 4 yr old, incidentally)

DH is occupied trying to figure out the logistics of ordering a brick pizza oven (he found one he wants. figured out delivery. realized "huh, then we would need to get it from driveway to backyard, up onto a stand....." It's a 1200 lb fully assembled brick/concrete oven, 44" square. Heavy equipment will be necessary.....)

Running up to start laundry and then get to the rest of the list.....

K printables for Monday are figured out and "printed" to the right folder

1st Grade printables for Monday are figured out and "printed" to the right folder, minus I may/may not add a Bible verse craft, if I can find the verse I'm thinking of

2nd Grade printables for Wednesday are figured out and "printed" to the right folder, including making my own worksheet on joints b/c the junk on TPT for science in particular tends to be junk for young grades

had lunch

took a nap

DH is still figuring out the pizza oven stuff; I'm trying not to be annoyed by all his questions/comments/hey look at this's.

Laundry-ing and then sewing-room-ing (grocery store bumped to tomorrow b/c dh wants the Ruebens then instead)

dinner will instead be something with chicken

Dinner is a ground beef and cabbage skillet dish with sweet potato fries as a side. Not fancy, but uses what we have.

Emailed doctor’s office about rescheduling appt.

Emailed a mom about the day/time of her son’s tutoring sessions.

Did a couple AHG things

Worked on my list for tomorrow.

Printed out the math HW sheet that Ds lost.

Packed a lunch for tomorrow.

Reminded  Ds to get off the computer and start on hw!

Tidied my staging area.

Moved a laptop to my room for a meeting and gathered relevant docs.

Dinner is in the works -- chicken breast & great northern beans in the skillet, as a kind of dry stir fry thing; brussel sprouts in the oven, which will get a sauce (spicy blackberry sauce mixed with olive oil/red wine vinegar to make a vinegarette), and rice.  Should be good (and like Scout, uses what we have)

Got the kids to put away all of their waiting laundry, which begged the question, how did any of you still have clothes in your closets??? but whatever

Load of towels is in the dryer, load of quilts in the wash (about to head up and swap those), leaving one load of sheets for tomorrow and then sort/wash regular clothes as needed

DH helped me figure out my design board, more or less, so will either tackle that after dinner or tomorrow, depending how I feel (waiting on the rice....)

Not sure if we'll do a TV night or what

Board meeting done. A few follow-up chores, then on to my jammies and a book and maybe a podcast.

We have a great leadership team in our AHG troop and I am so thankful for the dedicated, godly women with whom I get to serve! A true blessing. Looking forward to seeing all the girls and getting back to our outdoor meetings!
