I have had something like this happen to me like a handful of times in my life.  It was a single month glitch for me every time.    Has she have any changes?  Diet, stress, exercise, medications, vitamins, weight, etc?  Usually after the fact, I'd be able to identify something going on that might mess with my cycle.  So I think it's ok to wait a cycle, but if it happened again, I'd have her seen.  I personally wouldn't be super concerned about a single glitch like this.  Doctors have never been alarmed or found an issue in my case.

You are probably right.  I can't remember if anything like this has happened.  I don't remember things from years ago.  Out of the last 15 years 12 ish have been pg, breastfeeding or both so I haven't had cycles on the regular.  So I will see if it happens again for her.

Everything is pretty normal here.  She is studying ballet so gets 1.5-2 hours of ballet class 5-6 days a week.   Stress is pretty normal from week to week.  Vitamins and meds are all the same.   No weight loss.

Unless it happens more than 3 months in a row or she gets anemic they probably won’t do anything but possibly offer her the pill.

It could be normal first year variations or it could be that she’s been eating more fat and dairy than typical and has higher estrogen asa result. Lowering fat, dairy, and animal products will lower her estrogen intake. Eating cruciferous vegetables will lower circulating estrogen.

Excess soy has done this, too.

I'd have her monitor how heavy they are, offer her extra iron if they were both normal level (for her) vs one being light(er), and continue to monitor.
