ScoutTN Posted December 26, 2020 Posted December 26, 2020 Good morning! My mom couldn't come, but other than that our Christmas day was fairly normal. Stockings, breakfast, gifts, lounge around and play with new things, nice meal, more lounging and movies. Today will be very relaxed with little tackling! Our wifi is out bc of the explosion. Definitely limits what gets done today. So I will mostly read a novel and enjoy leftovers. I'll walk later when it warms up. Probably play new games with kids. Remind Dd to study her drivers' manual some. I will drive by my mom's and drop off some food sometime in the middle of the day. 2 Quote
DawnM Posted December 26, 2020 Posted December 26, 2020 I WILL work on my boards for a min. of 1 hour today. Hit 2 stores, possibly 3 if the 3rd is open. Get together a plan for eating better and exercising (mostly for energy, but losing weight would be a big bonus as well Look at finances and figure out a few thing with DH 2 Quote

ScoutTN Posted December 26, 2020 Posted December 26, 2020 (edited) I don't shop on Sunday and do not want to go to the grocery today, so tweaking menus to reflect what we have on hand. Good to make some space in the freezer and pantry anyway! The last gift, Dd's Birchbox, came today. Edited December 26, 2020 by ScoutTN 1 Quote
Garga Posted December 26, 2020 Posted December 26, 2020 I did a job I’ve been putting off for about 2 years: clean off the ping pong table in the basement. It had become a catch-all for any odds or ends that we didn’t know what else to do with. I thought it would take me all day. It took me an hour. So...that’s done! And it could have been done 2 years ago, but I thought it was Such A Big Job. I have some things to do for the rest of the day, but not much. I thought I’d be working in the basement all day long, but now I have many free hours ahead of me. Since it’s the day after Christmas and vacation, I think I’ll mostly chill and play with my new Christmas toys (some photography gear and exercise videos.) 2 Quote
ScoutTN Posted December 26, 2020 Posted December 26, 2020 Moved the laundry, folded and put away a load. Started bread. Made tea. Enjoying it in a wuiet house. All my people are outside, enjoying the sunshine and visiting from across the street with neighbors. 1 Quote

ScoutTN Posted December 26, 2020 Posted December 26, 2020 Called mom. More laundry. Bread in the oven. Tidied the kitchen. Had leftovers for dinner, plus some fermented kraut as my salad. I think I am addicted to fermented veggies! In a while: Finish watching Pride and Prejudice. 1 Quote
mom31257 Posted December 27, 2020 Author Posted December 27, 2020 I've finished my list except pay the bills and update checking. I'll do that tomorrow afternoon. 2 Quote
ScoutTN Posted December 27, 2020 Posted December 27, 2020 Dh got absorbed in Pride and Prejudice and liked it. Expanding his horizons! He's not, not a literature person. My kids do great imitations of Mrs. Bennett! Quote
