I think someone should leave the man an N95 and a face mask.  I mean I understand that we’re supposed to leave them for the HCW but if Nick is a superspreader we are toast. 

Not to mention, the guy is 1,750 years old.  I think that puts him in the high risk category according to the CDC.

Edited because I don't want to be on the naughty list!  Apparently Santa isn't the only celebrity in the you tube video.  Sorry!  

(But I still like the Xfinity Santa commercial that you can search for at you tube if you haven't already seen it.)

I stand corrected.  My 10 year old told me, in the patronizing tone of voice that 10 year old reserve for people they think aren't very smart, that Santa is immortal, and that means he can't get covid.  Apparently Santa's just wearing the mask so that he doesn't scare any small children who wake up and see him by mistake. 

So, I guess the beard and the lack of eye protection are not a problem!

Your son's not wrong. If Santa can survive plague and Spanish flu and smallpox, COVID is no big.

Dr Fauci told the kids on Sesame Street that he had vaccinated Santa so he was ready to go. 

I love that he is wearing a mask while delivering.  Smart man.  Wish he could deliver common sense to those that need it while he is out tonight.

Yes, but remember - even once you're vaccinated, you still need to wear a mask. First, because there's a slim chance the vaccine doesn't prevent you from being contagious, second, because while a 95% effectiveness is amazing it's still not 100% and until loads of people are vaccinated you don't want to risk being in that 5% and being unmasked, and third, because you still want to set a decent example for everybody else.

Like Santa does. Santa sets a good example for children.

Exactly right!  I completely agree and am very glad Santa is setting a good example.  

After all of this is over (it WILL be over, right?!) I am not sure I will ever be comfortable without a mask on in public.  I wear 2 now and have my family doing the same thing.

He is visiting like a billion households on Christmas.  Mask or no mask that is not in line with CDC recommendations.
