Wanna hear a weird story? When I was younger my family attended an outdoor Christmas Market in a small mountain town every year. It was an important Christmas tradition for our family. When I was trying to come up with a Christmas gift for my brothers this year, I went on Etsy and found a photographer who had a lovely Christmas photo from the small mountain town that hosted this event. I loved it and ordered 3 prints - 1 for each of my brothers and 1 for my parents. I got them framed.
I went to my parent's house to drop off gifts tonight and discovered a framed photo of this print newly hanging on my mom's wall! I stopped taken aback. How the heck did she get it? Had she bought them for us kids? Oh my gosh. This isn't a Hallmark ornament or something you could buy in any old store. This was an obscure photographer selling his custom prints on etsy! She just was looking for something related to the event and bought one , too.   So she and I had a laugh over it and I decided to keep the copy I bought her (I framed them in white frames, she  framed hers in black)

So I guess my mom and I think alike lol

Not so cute, but one Christmas Husband and I bought identical kitchen towels for each other for our new kitchen. We had not discussed buying towels. The shop was in the next city over, 40 minutes away, and we rarely went there. It was TKMaxx, so there was plenty of choice. Identical towels.

My dd told me about her friend who bought her boyfriend a meat thermometer for Christmas this year. When they exchanged gifts, she discovered her gift from her boyfriend was also a meat thermometer. I guess they needed a meat thermometer or two!)

I seriously thought I was getting my brothers this super cool, one-of-a-kind, thoughtful gift and there it is on the wall of our mom's house. I mean. Dang.

It's still a super cool thoughtful gift even if it's not quite as one -of-a kind (for your family at least).

I think your story will make it cooler than being one of a kind would
