Jenny in Florida Posted December 22, 2020 Posted December 22, 2020 I finally did make it through my checklist for yesterday, only because my husband had to be out of the house for a work thing until about 7:00 and I had a new audiobook I was looking forward to starting, which encouraged me to get on the bike once I had dinner prepped. It wasn't fun, though. I was tired, and it was a slog. I really, really didn't want to get out of bed this morning. And once I did drag myself out there, the dog made it clear she was not into the concept of a walk. So I swung back by the house, dropped her off and ventured out on my own for about 3.5K. The Run Across America Holiday Hustle challenge was originally to walk or run 50K by New Year, but I guess a lot of other people also went past that point earlier than anticipated. The app now lets you see how you can clock other, longer distances. I'm now aiming at 100K, which shouldn't be hard since I'm already at 85. Unfortunately, I haven't been as successful with my virtual bike along the Camino de Santiago. I've missed a few days of biking or not done my planned mileage, and I ended up about 40 miles behind pace. Last night, I adjusted the goal to give myself an extra week, which puts me back on track. This morning, I once again ran out of time to get my full bike ride in before needing to sit down to work. I rode for 20-ish, but I will need to finish up the other 25 minutes and do day 11 of the 12 Days of Fitmas challenge later in the day. If I can knock off work early enough, I'm hoping to drive downtown for a last-minute Christmas shopping errand, which I would like to combine with the 1K Christmas Chase bonus challenge walk. If I do that while I'm already downtown, I can go walk around the park, rather than trudging around my neighborhood again. 2 Quote
