C’mon, every time I turn around an essential ingredient has gone missing consumed. And snacks...I swear I don’t know what happens to them. I’ll open a bag of chips, eat 7, reach for said bag the next day and there will be only a handful of crumbs remaining. Trail mix I have to hide. Cereal disappears by the box. Same with crackers, a box ought to last a week and I’m lucky to have a box last til the next day.

At least they devour leftovers with the same gusto. I guess I should count my blessings.

But I really wanted that cotija on top of the frittata tonight. 😡

I have a hidden cotija stash in the garage fridge. It keeps forever when you buy it in the round/square ungrated.

Right?! It is NOT a devourable cheese like your average cheddar, though. It is a cheese with *purpose*.

I don’t have a garage fridge, but I do have a freezer no one but me dares go in to. Sounds like a perfect hiding place next time. 😈

I grew up with food being labeled & the trend continues.

Do not touch!

Mine!

Touch it & die!

[Name's] Do not eat!

So, my Java ice cream says, "For Mom" Only my DH dares touch it.

If you don't label it, it will be gone the next morning, usually by 6 am, sometimes by 5 am.

Fwiw, I also have a “my precious” shelf in a different kitchen cabinet than the pantry. Super sick of buying a treat for me to have a share in and having my teens or dh eat it all.

There is also the tampon box option.

I feel your pain. I had half a wedge of Parmesan Reggiano on Monday and came into the kitchen on Tuesday to find a 1/4 inch of cheese and rind left. Kids!
