Sunday night has always been our family TV/movie night, so it's nice to have a series to watch. 1 Quote
ScoutTN Posted December 13, 2020 Posted December 13, 2020 Sourdough is rising. Supposedly. My starter is not working well lately...very frustrating. Rice made, eggs boiled, Ds' lunch for tomorrow packed. Reminded Ds to send an email. Reminded Dd that her Zoom call needs to wrap up soon. Punted a walk as it's now cold and gray. Going to read instead. 2 Quote

We have a Roku on our TV, so we haven't had to try something like that. We love it. We can stream Youtube, Netflix, Disney+, Amazon, and more. Quote

TravelingChris Posted December 13, 2020 Posted December 13, 2020 Good afternoon! I had a bad start to my day and it is only getting better now. I was dizzy and so my dh took care of breakfast. Then I took my meds and about a hour later, I went to my office and took my bp. It was 82/48 so super low. I normally have high bp which is why I take bp medications but actually what I have is labile bp- which means it goes up and down. I left a message with the answering service of my concierge doctor and he called me back and had me take of my clonidine patch for now and asked me about my pulse and I was able to tell him that last week I had a pulse of 125 in a doctor's office when there was no reason- I have never had a pulse that high when I was just sitting around and hadn't been exercising and wasn't all nervous or freaked out about something,. I had remarked to the person taking the measurements about how strange that was but she nor the nurse or doctor mentioned it and didn\t tell me to call my doctor or treat me in any way. He thinks that at a minimum they should have told me to call him, I have to now keep checking my bp and also monitor my pulse rate and regularity. But I did get a few things done today so far=I ordered a filter for my air filter machine, I put away items so my dh could finish decorating for Christmas, and I made an appt with my BetterHelp counselor. Still to do Put away a few more things Trash pickup around house Make a list of what I need to do this week Refill weekly medicine box Go to outdoor Holiday Musical production Dinner? 2 Quote
SKL Posted December 13, 2020 Posted December 13, 2020 Howdie, happy Sunday! I keep missing the tackle thread, because I like to save it for last so I can say "caught up on ... social media ...." And then I never get that far. I got a lot of sleeping done this weekend. I also spent hours yesterday going to & through a community Christmas light display. The majority of the time was our vehicle waiting in line. As I was not driving, I hopped out of the vehicle, went for a walk, and called my mom, rather than sit on my damaged tailbone and listen to people bicker all that time. I had a nice, ambitious list of things to do this weekend. So far, I've done very few of them. My main accomplishment was to hook up our new DVD player to our "smart" TV (which was not smart enough to communicate with our old DVD player). The unfortunate side effect of that is that people are watching movies instead of doing chores and school work. 😕 I decided to let it go until later today, since we've been unable to watch our DVDs for months. The things that did not get done included buying a Christmas tree, cleaning out 2 vehicles, doing Christmas cards, and other things. I am still hoping to do the following: Church with the kids. Algebra review / practice with the kids. (They are both doing pretty bad in that class.) Walking, yoga, TKD practice. Lots of client work! Pay bills. Laundry. Whatever I'm forgetting! 2 Quote
mom31257 Posted December 14, 2020 Author Posted December 14, 2020 Chris, I pray your BP and heart rate will stabilize! The music tonight was simple but good. We really enjoyed it. Our previous music pastor put on elaborate shows that took months and months of practice. It was nice to have simple, humble worship. I didn't get enough done this afternoon, but I have less math tomorrow. And dh said he'll be home by 3:30 to help me with anything. 1 Quote
ScoutTN Posted December 14, 2020 Posted December 14, 2020 I am SO ready for a break. Feel like I need three weeks or a month, not just two weeks. Tomorrow is a regular, busy day and I'm dreading it. 1 Quote
mom31257 Posted December 14, 2020 Author Posted December 14, 2020 Sorry, Scout! Hopefully the two weeks will feel like more! 1 Quote

Weird to have no parties or get togethers, but it should leave more time for rest. I will need to finish Dd's government syllabus over break. Quote
