Amazon Germany

I am trying to send my brother's family some Christmas gifts through Amazon Germany. They are stationed there. How do I put in a military address? I am looking at an Amazon FAQ but wondering if I am doing it right.

The address makes no sense to me so I am unclear.

If they have an APO address, you use regular Amazon. You’d have to use a local German street address to mail it with German Amazon.

Do they have an APO address?  
 

An APO address will still be an American address.

My husband got a package slip to go to a German post office one time, and it was really a hassle.  That has been 15 years ago, though!  
 

If they have an APO address it might be better for a package anyway, even if they have a German address for letters.  I think ask!

But if their address says “APO, AE” then it’s an American address, in a drop down menu of US state names you should see it.

He might be able to receive packages to a work address, too — if he doesn’t otherwise have an APO, AE address.

I just looked out of curiosity, and for regular Amazon, at the bottom of the states there is an option for armed forces — AE.  I would assume that, but I would check to be sure.
