SquirrellyMama Posted December 8, 2020 Posted December 8, 2020 I am trying to send my brother's family some Christmas gifts through Amazon Germany. They are stationed there. How do I put in a military address? I am looking at an Amazon FAQ but wondering if I am doing it right. The address makes no sense to me so I am unclear. Kelly Quote
Sneezyone Posted December 8, 2020 Posted December 8, 2020 (edited) If they have an APO address, you use regular Amazon. You’d have to use a local German street address to mail it with German Amazon. Edited December 8, 2020 by Sneezyone 5 Quote
Lecka Posted December 8, 2020 Posted December 8, 2020 Do they have an APO address? An APO address will still be an American address. Quote
Lecka Posted December 8, 2020 Posted December 8, 2020 My husband got a package slip to go to a German post office one time, and it was really a hassle. That has been 15 years ago, though! If they have an APO address it might be better for a package anyway, even if they have a German address for letters. I think ask! Quote
Lecka Posted December 8, 2020 Posted December 8, 2020 But if their address says “APO, AE” then it’s an American address, in a drop down menu of US state names you should see it. 2 Quote
Lecka Posted December 8, 2020 Posted December 8, 2020 He might be able to receive packages to a work address, too — if he doesn’t otherwise have an APO, AE address. Quote
Lecka Posted December 8, 2020 Posted December 8, 2020 I just looked out of curiosity, and for regular Amazon, at the bottom of the states there is an option for armed forces — AE. I would assume that, but I would check to be sure. Quote
SquirrellyMama Posted December 8, 2020 Author Posted December 8, 2020 Ok, so regular Amazon. Got it! Thanks, it is an APO, AE address. Kelly 3 Quote
