Good morning!

Changed my password, yay! Woke up to frost on the ground, brrr, I do not love it. (it's mostly gone now, but still). How you people manage real winter is beyond me.

So, to do today:
....coffee
....more laundry
....more sewing -- I think I should be able to get the top together today (quilt top, not person wearing top)
....help DS15 finish his project for history
....figure out dinner for tonight/the week
....go check the mail, b/c it's been a few days
....go to the grocery store....??? maybe??
....TV/Movie tonight with the family

Have a good day, everyone!

Feeling productive! It's 4 pm and I'm done with the list except for folding the last load of laundry (currently in the dryer) and helping DS with his school project (up next). And I took a nap!

So, dinner will be salmon and veggies, getting to work on the project, and I should yet finish the laundry, making me all caught up. The quilt top is not 100% together, but all blocks are done and I should have time to get it together as well.

(no one remind me that "feeling productive' is easy when your list only has three real things on it.....)

Howdy!  Happy ... Tuesday??

The kids had a snow day today.  Which is kinda funny, considering they are 100% remote learning, but whatever.  It's always nice to have a bonus day to rest or catch up on things.

We all spent our first hour shoveling the driveway so one of the aunties could drive to work.  In the end, nobody ended up driving, but hey, good exercise.

The snow plow hasn't been seen since dawn, and I'm pretty sure the mailman gave up too.

But, I work at home, so ... I got some work done.  Not a ton, but better than some days.  I still have some more to do.

Needless to say, trumpet lessons and horse riding were cancelled.  The vet offered to keep our bird for another night rather than make us come out in this mess.  I doubt I would have made it back up the hill in my car.

To do:

  • Find some old food or leftovers for dinner.  Or the kids can cook if they want.  (Unlikely.)  Or an auntie can figure it out (somewhat likely).
  • Make the kids finish some school work ... some of their teachers did not give them a full break, which is probably good.  They should also practice music and clean up their messes.
  • Listen to one or two training podcasts while walking on the treadmill.
  • Some more client work and filing.
  • Whatever else gets done.  Maybe sleep at a reasonable hour??

FINISHED the project with the boy; that was so fun! He was so young when we were in Brazil, it's fun to walk through photos with him, and put together a project on what he deems important (alas, we left out the banana pizza, but he was okay with that in the end). He started with a list of what he wanted to include, then determined how many slides of each type (people, culture, geography) and then we built them together, he captioned, set backgrounds, etc. and settled on the order.

DH realized we were taking forever, so ordered pizza for dinner (yay!).

Oldest has another tutoring session, so will sew and video game night maybe? Or something.

Off to fold the last of the laundry and be done for the night.
