Hello,

I am looking for a list of wonder-filled geography books meant to inspire travel and wonder at the world we have been given to enjoy. We are currently working our way through Richard Halleburton's Marvels book and I would love to find another book like it. And/or something that could accompany it. Any ideas?

Thanks for your tips!

~Cynthia

Welcome! I see by your post count you are new. 😄

I don't know what ages/grades you are looking for, but perhaps:

Hidden Wonders (Lonely Planet Kids)
The Cities Book (Lonely Planet Kids)
kids version: The Travel Book A Journey Through Every Country in the World (Lonely Planet Kids)
The Travel Book: A Journey Through Every Country in the World (Lonely Planet)
Destinations of a Lifetime (National Geographic)
Journeys of a Lifetime (National Geographic)

There's also the Beautiful Feet Geography guide and map pack + the 4 Holling C. Holling books: Paddle to the Sea, Tree in the Trail, Minn of the Mississippi, and Seabird. These were written in the late 1940s. The first 3 are U.S. based; Seabird is world-based

You might also enjoy well-written fiction set in various countries of the world, to learn more about the culture and setting of different places in the world.
