Joker 13,770
We usually drink almond milk and only use regular milk for cooking here and there, but I just realized I didn’t get any in my grocery pick up this week. 🙄 Will using almond milk work? I just do a basic flour, butter, milk, and cheese recipe. Will it change it too much and do I need to any extra flour or anything?
katilac 23,913
I would just use all butter.
MEmama 11,994
Yes, you can. It doesn’t make any difference in any cooking or baking IME.

cintinative 4,728
Do you have evaporated milk? I would use that if you do.
Selkie 23,120
Almond milk should be fine. Cashew milk or cashew cream would also work well.
Tanaqui 34,008
Almond milk works assuming you do not accidentally put in the vanilla flavored type. Ask me how I know.... 3
Joker 13,770
Thanks, everyone. I made it as I normally do but with the almond milk and it tasted the same.

Ask me how I know.... I was about to comment: just don't use vanilla soy milk in the mashed potatoes like I did one year!
