Good morning!

My dad arrived yesterday and will be here a couple of days. Dh goes back for a follow up this morning after a well check-up. They called him back because of his TSH and cholesterol. His BP was a little high, too.

To Do:

  • bible study groups
  • meals
  • finalize prep for meal tomorrow and make a schedule of what to do when
  • call and make an appointment with a neurologist
  • SAT prep with ds

Good morning!

Amy, I hope your Dh's follow-up is good. Glad your dad could come!

My turkey is in the oven and I've had b'fast, morning meds, and some time with Jesus.

It's gray and rainy here today and I'm happy to be home. My Japanese maple still has some brilliant orange leaves, the only color in a sea of gray, but I think the wind and rain will knock them all down today.

Today:

  • Tutoring - 1 student, log session, look up something, organize materials.
  • Housework - ask a kid to vacuum, do general tidying and help Ds organize his space for digital schooling. Wash sheets.
  • Library - drop off and curbside pick up.
  • Walk, weather permitting. Nope.
  • Make dressing, gravy, green beans, and cranberry sauce.  Super low key TG dinner here today. Visiting with friends outdoors tomorrow, weather permitting, but otherwise no real celebration here. Just too worn-out. Trying to focus ahead and invest in doing Advent well.  But not one thing turned out well.
  • Research Hashimoto's stuff No time.
  • Order photo mug from Costco for my mom and Hamilton shirts for her and Ds. Nope
  • 1 AHG thing (that has been on my list for days and days)
  • Finish a podcast. Tonight.

Good morning!

Amy, prayers for your DH's follow-up; I hope it goes well! And that you are able to get into a neurologist soon, and at not too high a cost.

Scout, prayers for the Hashimoto's stuff.

My sister dismantled her bed yesterday, and her not-ex came and got it; she'll move into his apartment this weekend; she leaves our house today -- her daughter is picking her up sometime after lunch, then her not-ex will come and get her car and stuff tonight.

So, today has:
....coffee
....go pick up the bolt for the car, so that the ex actually can put the car back together and drive it away tonight (please let the part actually come in....)
....send her off with her daughter and have our house back
....nap
....make the rest of the videos for my virtual classes (2 more language arts, maybe/maybe not 4 science ones)
....sew some more
.....have DS pick out the 10 photos he wants to use for his presentation next week
....grocery run with DH later, so we can get the multi-colored carrots for tomorrow, and something yummy for dinner tonight, just us
....probably actually look up the recipe for the green bean stuff for tomorrow
....laundry....? Remember to buy laundry soap at the store
....going out for smoothie king (drive thru) tonight after dinner, just us
.....TV tonight, just us (are you sensing a theme....? you'd have to know my sister and all of the backstory to understand why I am so very glad she's leaving....trust me when I say I'm really not just a cold-hearted witch)

Hope everyone has a good day today!

Howdie, happy Wednesday!

I am off to a relatively good start!  Could be because the kids are off school ....

Done:

  • Took out the garbage.
  • Walked 2.3 miles (so far).
  • Did a little cleaning.
  • Took Kid2 to horse riding.
  • Caught up on emails, calendar, news, and social media.
  • Working on coffee 2.

To do:

  • Lots of client work.
  • Send photos for birth mom.
  • Update tax info.
  • A little reading.
  • Listen to church with the kids.
  • Try to catch up on filing.
  • Walk at least 2-3 more miles.  Make kid1 run.
  • Yoga; practice my TKD form.
  • Catch up on housework, laundry, etc.
  • Some online professional education.
  • Maybe do some more work in my kid's closet.
  • Think about Christmas gifts!

Didn't get much done today and the turkey dinner wasn't very good. Decided I'm not cooking the rest of the weekend. The rest of my family can figure it out and do the work for nice dinners, or not. I'm exhausted and need a break.

Did have a couple of nice conversations with ds and one with dh today.

Going to read and go to bed.
