cintinative Posted November 16, 2020 Posted November 16, 2020 (edited) My niece just had surgery to correct Chiari malformation and her head is shaved in a vertical strip from the top of her head down to the base of her neck. Any suggestions for pretty things I could send as she grows her hair back out? The live in a subtropical area so heavy stuff probably would be a bad idea. And otherwise, I am not sure how much the incision/wound has to breathe. ETA: she is 14 Edited November 16, 2020 by cintinative 1 Quote

itsheresomewhere Posted November 16, 2020 Posted November 16, 2020 Before you buy- is she one who would like any head covering? One of DH’s friends wife had this surgery. She couldn’t wear anything in her head for while as it caused migraines. 1 Quote

The reason she had the surgery is because of headaches, so I certainly wouldn't want to make it worse!! I will ask. I know before she used to wear hats now and then but that was before the Chiari was causing daily headaches. Quote
