If I ever win the lottery or inherit loads of money I’m buying the $25 tea towels from Cognitive Surplus.  I could never spend that much on one unless I had loads of money to spare, but I love the way they look!

Those are impressive indeed, StillJessica!

Which are your favorites? I like this and this and this and ....

I see they have some neat t-shirts, too.

Thanks for sharing the link!

All of them!  I would buy 2 of each for me and the mushrooms and gems and geology for my brother the mushroom-growing rock-hound, the birds and fish for my grandparents the bird-lovers and former-fisherman, and I would probably have to buy a full set for my mom because I can’t choose which she would like the most!  I almost bought some notebooks for my brother for Christmas, and the card that says You’re a Gem, but I have already exceeded my budget for gifts.  I think I’ll watch for a sale and buy early for next Christmas.

Buyer beware on Busted Tees: Their shirts are great, but dealing with them is a huge pain.  I ordered shirts in June for my ds' birthday and didn't receive them for two months. They kept telling me that they were running a little behind, but my order was about to be shipped. Finally, I canceled the order and THEN they shipped them out. I've seen several other people comment that they had a similarly bad experience.

Thanks for chiming in. I had never heard of them, and I appreciate hearing about your experience.

Thanks for bringing that over, SusanC!

Here's how I quote something from a different thread ~

Go to the thread you'd like to quote and click the plus (multi quote symbol) on those posts you'd like to quote.

Then come back to this thread and quote something here by clicking on the plus. (Even if it's something you might later delete.)

Then click on the floating box that says Quote x posts.

This is the only method I've found that works for me. I use a Kindle Fire.

Kareni

I just came across some book-related gifts that I've never seen before.

Personal Library Kit - contains library check out cards, book pockets and a date stamp

Antiquarian Bookplates - variety of older designs

Card catalog notecards - each card features a reprint of a card from the card catalog of the Library of Congress. These aren't folding notes - just cards you can jot a brief note on and put in the envelopes. They look perfect for quick notes to friends on birthdays, etc.

Those are lovely, TechWife, and bring back happy memories of perusing card catalogs. Thanks for the links! Naturally, I then spent way too much time looking at other items.

I like these, too ~

Vintage postcards

Retro postcards (I could imagine that the post office would not like these!)

Library socks ~ big and small

Kareni

I came to this thread looking for ideas for dh - I mean, the man has asked for underwear for Christmas, so he has no ideas, either. I have spent so.much.money!

As a spin off idea, I realized that SpaceX has a shop - my guys have watched just about every launch they have done and they have had a stellar year with manned flights to the space station. I picked up a Dragon t-shirt and decal sheet for each of them.

I love this concept! This shop "rescues" stuffed toys from thrift shops, deep cleans and repairs them, and then adds weight (rice or glass pebbles), scent, and/or accessories of your choice. You can also ship a new stuffie or your own stuffie to them and they will do the same. So cool.

This shop does something similar, although I don't know for sure if their stuffies are new or thrifted. They use plastic pellets so many of their stuffies are washable.

Yes, I want these for myself. 🙂

This is fabulous! There are so many kids at the hospital that would benefit from being able to have a weighted stuffie during procedures! Wow - I'm going to get some of these next year.

This can be a dangerous thread as far as one's wallet is concerned! I'm glad you found some ideas.

I’m not going to tell them when they arrive. I’m just going to put them in their cars and let them find them.  😄

I ordered one for myself and one for a friend in another state. I'm thinking I'll wrap hers in a feminine product box because no one else in her house would bother opening it or ask why I sent it or want to talk about it at all, so she'll be able to "deploy" it at her leisure. We both have brand new drivers in our house who will laugh about them.

My son loves pens! I love paper, and a couple of years ago we joined forces for a pen and paper subscription box. It was a fun year. I'm still working through all of the post it note pads. You can do just the pen subscription - they sent some really nice pens & pencils from around the world - nice variety in type & color, too.

Not super unique, but I've ordered twice from https://www.teeturtle.com/ this Christmas, and I've been pleased with my purchases. Everything is so cute -- I've ordered enamel pins (boba cat!) and three tees (slightly rough material but I love the artwork!) I bought this one for myself:

My "uniform" is a pair of Land's End knit pants and a tshirt from Tee Turtle.

Adding to the thread: Tea subscription https://tearunners.com/

I'm glad the thread was useful as well as entertaining, happiduck. And thank you for the tea subscription link; that does look appealing!

I like the Nessie Family,  ... that price tag is steep.

[I'm amused at the proximity of the word steep near the word tea!]

You can see more Nessie pieces here ... including a Nessie tea infuser.

I'm still following along and bookmarking stuff, but I'm not ordering anything to be shipped until well after Christmas if I can help it. I'm pretty dubious that anything will arrive on time at this point, so I might as well wait and decrease the chances of it getting lost, lol.

Yes, I hear you. At this point I'm thinking of shopping for a spring birthday.
