I probably can get away with a cheap one from anywhere, but just curious if you have one you love for regular life-not homeschooling. Lately I have been using apps on my phone, but I feel like I need to go back to paper. For whatever reason, the phone isn’t working as well for me as it used to.

I've used several different planners over the years. It kind of depends how you plan and what's important to you, such as daily pages, weekly layout, size, paper type, cost etc.

Jet Pens carries a variety of Japanese planners (which are lovely). https://www.jetpens.com/Planners/ct/2815?sa=product_date_added_dt&so=-1

For next year I'm using a daily planner from paperblanks. https://www.paperblanks.com/en/catalog/12-month/

I've also added a small vertical weekly supplement because I like to see my weekly schedule all at one glance. https://www.jetpens.com/Hobonichi-Accessory-Weekly-Calendar-2021/pd/30486

I’m still in love with the Happy Planner, specifically the dashboard layout.  I like that it gives me the days of the week on the right and a place for notes for the week on the left.  I have lots of to-dos that don’t have to take place on specific days.

I didn't know they came with different layouts. Do you happen to know what the layout is called that has 3 subsections for each day? I'm really enjoying dividing it into a "to do" section, a "craft section" and a "errands/appointments" section, so when it comes time to get a new one I'd like to get the same kind again.

I think that’s the vertical layout you’re looking for.

Ooooh, I'm glad this thread was bumped up because I missed it the first time around. I HAD a planner design that I loved and have used for years....

But now my kids are all grown up. I don't need to track their everyday stuff anymore, I don't need to give anyone rides anywhere... I just need to write stuff down for ME. And right now, MY schedule is very loosey-goosey. Not a lot to write down. It's time to shop for a me-specific planner instead of a family one. 🙂

I have a basic Day Designer planner and I really like it. I like that it has "Today's Top Three" at the top of each day. Instead of trying to get through a long and unrealistic to do list I can list the main three things I need to get done. Of course I can add more if I need to but it encourages me to prioritize. I've been using the monthly/weekly planner but I just bought the daily planner for 2021. The layout is basically the same but with more space for each day. Oddly, they're cheaper in stores. I usually buy mine at Target and don't pay as much as the cost on their website.

We got this Get Stuff Done planner and habit tracker for ds 23 for his birthday in September. He has ADHD and requested it. Apparently he saw it recommended on an ADHD site he frequents. It only covers 13 weeks and he hasn't mentioned getting a new one so I'm almost afraid to ask him if he found it as helpful as he hoped it would be, or even if he's still using it.
