klmama Posted October 30, 2020 Posted October 30, 2020 Back in the early 2000s I read my older dc a popular book which helped the reader remember the presidents through visual images and plays on their names. For example, Washington = a washing machine with a 1-ton weight inside, Jefferson = Jeff's son, etc. Somehow each was connected to the next to help with recall. Do you recall the title of this book? Lori D. Posted October 31, 2020 Posted October 31, 2020 We really enjoyed Yo Millard Fillmore! The same people also put out a book for U.S. states & capitals: Yo Sacramento. It is more fun-fact based than the presidents book, but it still has the visual mnemonic device for memorizing. 2 Quote
SilverMoon Posted November 4, 2020 Posted November 4, 2020 That looks adorable. My 10yo would get a kick out of it. My older kids learned with the Presidents vs Aliens app. It really is oddly satisfying to toss dead presidents at attacking aliens. 🤷♀️ 1 1 Quote
Guest Posted November 5, 2020 Posted November 5, 2020 Also, if you really want a blast from the past “Ready, Set Remember”. I remember that one from when I was an elementary school kid! Of course, at the time, it went through President Nixon. Quote
