Need recommendations for Christmas lights and outdoor solar lights

I am looking for recommendations for Christmas light strings and for outdoor solar lights. Do you have any brands that are long lasting?

We usually just buy lights at any major hardware store, but this year I picked up a few new strings of lights at Costco. We always bring our light back inside during the spring/summer, which prolongs their life.

I'm not sure how we kill the Christmas lights, but it seems like a strand will last a couple of years and then only half of it works. We only use them indoors. This year I REALLY need lots of Christmas lights.

I'm also looking for solar lights for outside to light our walkway all year round.

Us too.  They just don't seem to last.

We've not had any luck with solar lights either.  They only seem to last a couple of years.  

 

I hope others chime in with some excellent recs.  I'd be interested in finding something that lasts.
