I've no idea, I vaguely remember trying it once in my childhood. I think people use it like jam? My niece wants to make some, and my sister asked me for a recipe. Quote

It's so much better than apple sauce. 😆 Actually, it is cooked more but you add sugar & spices to it. We use it on bagels, waffles, toast, pancakes, etc. A couple of my kids eat it like apple sauce. 1 Quote

KungFuPanda Posted October 23, 2020 Posted October 23, 2020 I ❤️ Apple butter on biscuits. My grandmother used those cinnamon dot candies in her recipe, but I just use cinnamon. Most recipes look about the same to me and it’s the apples that make each batch different. Do you know what kind of apples? I’ve also seen recipes for canned apple pie filling if they’d use that. I’m the only person in my house who eats Apple butter, but I make a jar whenever they stop eating the latest bag of apples. 1 Quote
