Kareni Posted October 11, 2020 Posted October 11, 2020 @Helpdesk Prior to the most recent update, if I wanted to create a spoiler/hide text from other readers, I would use this:
hidden text goes here
This no longer works. Any ideas? Regards, Kareni Quote

Wheres Toto Posted October 12, 2020 Posted October 12, 2020 I've seen it done by turning a block of text to white and saying to highlight or select to read. Like this, select the text to read: Testing testing testing. 2 1 Quote
Miss Tick Posted October 12, 2020 Posted October 12, 2020 Am I the only one who always hears Helpdesk in a standard, friendly AI voice? More "What would you like to know Kareni?" - Ava, Ex Machina than "I can't do that, Kareni" - Hal, 2001 a Space Odyssey. 1 1 Quote

Helpdesk Posted October 14, 2020 Posted October 14, 2020 I was not able to find a way to add this function to a reply. I'll look into it but I hope you will understand that this is not a super high priority item at the moment. It's just the way things roll...but I will do what I can. Quote

RootAnn Posted October 14, 2020 Posted October 14, 2020 (edited) If you type the enter button enough, I think people have to press the "see more" button to read it. A poor woman's spoiler method?
Edited October 15, 2020 by RootAnn Trying something 2 Quote

RootAnn Posted October 15, 2020 Posted October 15, 2020 It is actually called "expand" and I think it only activates if you quote someone, alas. Sorry. See if you can see it by clicking here. The post I linked (on the High School Board) & the one after it both have "expand" boxes for the quoted text. So, it would only work if you type out the post, quoted yourself, posted that, then went back & edited the original post. 4 hours ago, RootAnn said: If you type the enter button enough, I think people have to press the "see more" button to read it. klmama Posted October 26, 2020 Posted October 26, 2020 (edited) Does it work to just put lots of space in the middle of your post by using the enter key? Trying that on my phone now. (Spoiler alert) Spoiler posted after all the space.... Ta-dah! Eta: Hooray! It works! I thought the system automatically filled the space, but that must be on another board.
