Jean in Newcastle Posted October 10, 2020 Posted October 10, 2020 laundry another doggy play date? This is as much to help my friend with her dog boarding business as it is to give Juliet a good time. But it's supposed to dump rain so maybe not. We'll see. . . work on pantz 3 Quote

MysteryJen Posted October 10, 2020 Posted October 10, 2020 Dh wanted to be the tennis parent- so he left with ds3. He is going to pick up the chair (at a different store) during a break in the action. I am so excited to have a comfortable chair in the basement- to read, do handwork, etc. I am finally sitting down to breakfast and a second cup of coffee. Done: watered the gardens, laid out cardboard for two small beds, watered the pots, skimmed the paper and did a general clean-up Rest of the day- the guys are going to be gone for most of it- so I can goof around too electronic chores clean out fish tank find power strip- think I know where it is Hang a picture pick up hold at library and drop off a couple of books drop off stuff for Goodwill hobby lobby pet store? jen things not sure what else- leftovers for dinner/late doubles match, I think Have a great day! 3 Quote

SKL Posted October 10, 2020 Posted October 10, 2020 It's my eldest's 14th birthday. She's been in a crabby mood since yesterday. Why? She knew she was getting the gift she wanted. I know she wasn't thrilled about having to be at away soccer games half of the day, can't find her air pods, and her friend [possibly crush] hasn't RSVPd to tomorrow's "hangout." Could be all that. Maybe seasonal allergies. I don't know. Of course I can't do anything about any of these things. 😞 We had cake/presents in the morning, Kid2 finished her horse riding, and we bought pumpkins to decorate during tomorrow's "hangout." I feel like having a nap, but I should take my walk. Decisions .... Later I will go pick up my kid from the soccer bus, my sister plans to come with extended family gifts, and we'll go out to Kid1's chosen restaurant. Will watch a movie (probably at home) if she feels like seeing anything. I should also get caught up on laundry and do some cleaning. And work. Ha.... 3 Quote
ScoutTN Posted October 10, 2020 Posted October 10, 2020 (edited) Home from AHG campout. Small crowd, just 13 families, but it was fun. Yesterday afternoon was just overcast and the evening had some misty drizzle. Lots of fun cooking out and socializing. Dd cooked a brownie in a hollowed out orange and it was yummy. So were our foil pack dinners! Real rain overnight and all day today, so we bailed after lunch. I've done the initial clean up - food and camp kitchen stuff. Nowhere to put the wet tent or pop-ups til the sun comes out. Next up: Unpack my bag, move the laundry, shower, read ✅ Dinner is creamed chx with biscuits, and green salad (already made). ✅ Edited October 11, 2020 by ScoutTN 2 Quote
Jean in Newcastle Posted October 10, 2020 Author Posted October 10, 2020 Helped my neighbor with the dog boarding business again today with the 100 pound 7 month old Mastiff puppy. Or rather Juliet did. She's sturdy enough to handle him and she calms the other dogs down around the huge goofy doofus. 2 Quote
