Howdy.  Lots of work things due today.  Really need to get on a roll.  I hope the kids don't need me too much for school.  Last night one of them was up past 1am doing work she claims she didn't realize she had, or something.  I really need to get on top of this BS ... starting tomorrow.

This has been a strange week.  I was relatively productive, but clients keep giving me more stuff to do that is on top of the usual stuff.  So things that seemed super do-able a week ago are iffy now ... and I will piss people off if anything gets missed.  😕  Well, off to work.

Still haven't figured out stops.  We are taking US 75.

I have to take breaks every hour.

• 3:00 vet appt. for 2 cats (checkups & shots) and 1 dog (Adequan injection)
• post office
• dinner: leftovers or salad

It's overcast, windy, and cool instead of sunny, so my plans have changed. No hike. 

Drop off books at used bookstore. Shop a bit?

Pick up Ds early. Half day of school today. Make sure he does hw this afternoon.

Deskwork! AHG emails, YNAB, pay bills.

Figure out dinner. Grill steak and burgers if it clears off. ?? If it doesn't. 

Cook white beans.

...go do PreK with the 4 yo (we agreed to just the 1.5 hrs, not the 3 hrs, so that is good)
...come home, do school with my own 15 yo (biology, make sure he reads, math, check history)
...make sure the 19 yo does his history in time to do his math test (make sure he has a clear/empty room to do math test)
...work on the butterfly quilt
...dinner is finally going to be the pork stuff
...lunch...??
 

At some point I also need to start clearing out my sewing room; my sister moves in a week from tomorrow and we're taking the table out/putting a bedframe in, and I'm clearing my drawer space so she'll have somewhere to unpack.

Good morning! I have been out in the garden- now that we have nice weather again- several plants are setting new blooms. Maybe it will stay nice enough for long enough to see them! We are supposed to have concrete patios poured next week- but who knows?

• light school day with ds3- he wasn't finished until 7:30 last night- 13 hr day there
• electronic chores
• finish up binding the runner, start on the pillow
• read/crochet
• ds3 has his own schedule- gym, session with club team
• grocery store sometime today

Home from doing PreK with the 4 yr old, made lunch, ate lunch, got everyone here started on school work. 

Gathering info for DS15's biology assignment, then will do that, and then many errands to run with DH as we prep for a rainy/floody week next week, and my sister moving in after that.

I've been enjoying a quiet house this morning. Two kids are off running errands for a few hours and the other is sleeping. Dh is working away downstairs in his office.

Did horse chores

The last of 3 loads of laundry is in the drier

Cleaned the kitchen

Swept the basement & steps

Watered my houseplants & tended my micros

Got a few little pumpkins in our produce box, so put those on the mantel

Cut up 2 pineapples

My sugar is low so I'm going to put things aside for now and eat.

Swept the entire house from top to bottom, except for the kids' rooms

Got the kitty carriers ready to go

Am going to have a quick salad and then get my car loaded up with animals for our vet appt.

Went to the grocery store, told dh that he can decide on the gate latch since he has a platonic ideal of latch and doesn't seem to want a compromise. Is he crazy with the fence? Yes. 

Now I am eating lunch and then will work on the runner.

Finished the runner- it is in the washer now. Mom's present is half done. Sil's Christmas gift is complete- looks super cute. Since I am doing Christmas themed things- I will mail them right before Thanksgiving.

Sent in ds3's grades to high school office

Brought in mail.

I am going to read for a little while and then do some cleaning.

Beans are cooked and yummy, though I can't eat much of them. 

Dinner is BBQ chx, white beans, sliced Cherokee purple tomatoes, and random leftover side dishes that need to be eaten.

Thrift shop run was successful, bookstore was not bc they changed their hours.

Tonight: walk, read, do a few AHG things for service project tomorrow.

Finished school with DS15 (did I already say that?)

Ran errands with DH

DS19 took his math test; had a glitch, corrected it, finished the test, got a 92!!! He so badly needed that boost after last year. 

Grocery store had fresh Gulf shrimp on sale again, jumbo ones, so DH bought those for dinner tonight, and the pork stuff will become lunch tomorrow instead. 

Got the quilt blocks trimmed/pressed and sorted; I have roughly 30 mins until dinner needs to start cooking, so heading up and will work on at least selecting fabric for the butterflies to go on the quilt.

The runner turned out lovely. Some picking up and a little cleaning happened.

We are all home for the night- brats for dinner.

Just done with my nighttime horse check. Beautiful, chilly, clear night - stars shining brightly, owls calling, coyotes yipping, and what sounded like two wolves howling back and forth to each other very close by. I swung my flashlight around looking for them, but they were too far back in the woods.

Going to take a sauna and a shower and then read.
