We are a dog family.   The first thing DH and I did when we got married and rented a house, was to get a dog to add to our new family.

However, we have been through 3 dogs in our family, 2 have passed away, and we were down to our 14 year old black lab.

DH loves dogs but is adamant they not get on the furniture, not get on the bed, and if they roll in something outside,   he would complain a lot about them being a pain.

He also would never pay for a dog.   Craigslist, friends rehoming, etc....only.

In comes Finn.   I paid for him (DH said not to tell him how much!) and my husband is doing a 180!   He allows this dog on the furniture to sit with him, he even calls him into our bed to get attention for a while, he barely even complained when the dog rolled in something outside and needed a bath, and he volunteered to take him to the groomer.

He loves this dog so much!

It is cracking me up!

He's gorgeous.  My husband grew up in a dogs-outside family, but has been completely converted by our dog Blondie.

My husband did, too. Dogs were for farm work or hunting. But he fell in love with Sarge, our (now dead) German Shepherd. But the sad thing is, I think he doesn’t want to love a dog again, because it is too sad to him when the dog dies. He is resistant to getting another dog now.

Husband is a definite convert.  We talk fairly often about what next, as dear Blondie is coming up on her 14th birthday.

That is a very cute doggie!

I am not an animal or dog person at all. I never had a pet in my life until six months ago. I somehow let my dd get a dog.

While I am still not a dog lover I do love our little pup. She still has accidents and I will admit here that they don’t even bother me much. If you would have told me that a dog having potty accidents in my house would not make me nuts I wouldn’t have believed you. But, hey, she’s working on it. It’s okay 😂

Awww that dog is precious.  And my Dh was the same way about animals and is now the same way about this new pup.  Our dhs must have mellowed with age.  🙂

He is so cute.  What breed is he?

He is a goldendoodle.    He is very sweet and very smart.   We do love him, but it is so funny how DH has just taken this dog on.

Hourly! 🤣   He had just come back from the groomer.

I will post a "normal" picture later.   This is a blowout of sorts.  It is normally curlier.    We have a pool and he has learned that we have ledges on each end of the pool so he is in there daily swimming laps!   It is adorable and a PAIN because he is always wet.

He does need haircuts about every 6-8 weeks though.   This is the highest maintenance dog we have ever had.
