Jean in Newcastle Posted September 7, 2020 Posted September 7, 2020 I have no idea what we are doing. A lot depends on how I"m feeling tomorrow. I have felt under the weather for the past couple of days. 1 3 Quote
SKL Posted September 7, 2020 Posted September 7, 2020 Howdy, happy Labor Day! It's been several days since I've done the tackle thread. I usually save it for the end of my daily social media time, and some days it's midnight before I have a window to post here. 😛 I have been pretty lazy this weekend. I actually slept most of Sunday. Got up for like a half hour and went back to bed until 6pm or so. So I have my work cut out for Monday! My kids start virtual school on Tuesday, so we need to get stuff ready Monday. I am way behind on this! And just walking through the house, I see so many other things I want to accomplish. I already warned my kids that I'm gonna be the nag queen all day. (They say I already am the nag queen so ....) Done: Washed & dried 1 load of laundry so kid can go to soccer Monday a.m. and not stink. A tiny bit of house cleaning. Made an Amazon order. Caught up on calendar, emails, social media, news. To do: Sleep some? Kid1 has soccer practice at 9am. Lots of client work. Invoices. Review tax returns, audits, send reviewed reports to various parties. Accounting reports for at least a dozen entities. Process many emails in inbox. Preparing kids for school that starts Tuesday. Check online for updated class schedule. Charge chromebooks. Figure out log ins, etc., watch intro video re how to use virtual tools. Sign kids up to receive info from "remind" classes for school & sports. Make a schedule that we should stick to going forward. Gather school supplies and put them in a sensible location. Put band music in binder & make the kids practice new music. Get sports stuff organized. Whatever I'm forgetting. Housework. Make the kids clean up their messes. Clean the kitchen. Finish all the laundry. Kid2's room - go through & purge outgrown stuff & put the rest in some kind of order. Kid1's room - go through & purge outgrown stuff (fill a box or 2 for the nieces), bring in hand-me-downs from Kid2 (Kid2 is much bigger), put the room in some kind of order. Make the kids help clean my car, inside & out. Whatever else gets done. Make the kids try on their marching band uniforms and take photos. Figure out how to order band shoes to arrive no later than Thursday afternoon! 2 or 3 donations. Bills? Compile personal tax info and send it to the CPA. Personal filing and stuff. A little reading. Yoga and walking. Whatever I'm forgetting. 6 Quote

ScoutTN Posted September 7, 2020 Posted September 7, 2020 (edited) Rainfly on the new-to-me tent is sticky on the inside. Polyurethane coating has degraded. Bah! Washed it in detergent at the laundromat and hung it out to dry. Later today I'll order some PU coating and seam sealer. Hopefully, this week will stay sunny and dry so I can get it resealed. Ds will need it for Scouts, since CV19 means only brothers can tent together. Even with the extra work and purchases, still worth it to get a good REI tent for $50 total. ScoutTN Posted September 8, 2020 Posted September 8, 2020 Kitchen is tidy and ready for b'fast. Lots of laundry run today. Rainfly needs another wash. I am dreading the busy week and missing the time to read, garden, cook, and exercise that I had in the spring. 2 Quote
