Thought I'd bring this over here, too-Prodigies music beta

SInce I've been using Prodigies Music as a teacher for awhile, I've been asked to be part of the beta test for their new LMS for schools, which is designed for schools that are online or for flipped instruction. I posted about it on the ed board, but after @PeterPan and I have been PMing about it, thought others here might find it useful as well. The format is short videos, where the student taps an instrument or claps for rhythm or sings to match music, so while it is useful in teaching music, it seems like it might be really good for VMI and just as a metronome activity. I also know from experiences that with at least some kids with auditory processing issues, the sort of sequence that this program integrates really seems to make a difference, because it's focused listening for just a few pitches at a time. I actually bought the program for some of my students who struggle with music reading due to LD issues, since I had been doing something similar with color coding as a teacher anyway.  

 

Anyway, if anyone wants to join us, here's the thread about it, or PM me. I'm going to give everyone a few days to decide if they want to do it, and then send the list to the IT folks to get set up.
