Good morning!

Beautiful morning here - cool, sunny, and breezy. We didn't get any bad storms yesterday - just a few minutes of thunder and about five drops of rain - which on the one hand was a relief, but boy do we need rain. I decided to let my tomato plants die off and am feeling kind of guilty about it, but A.) I am tired of tomatoes, and B.) I am tired of watering.

  • straighten up pantry
  • go through house and restock paper products, etc.
  • restock fridge with beverages
  • empty garbage cans
  • vacuum
  • text hay guys
  • water houseplants
  • groom horses
  • read & relax
  • dinner: I'm thinking of making a pot of soup, but haven't decided what kind yet

Dd slept very little last night. Dozing now. She has to finish some schoolwork today and has a virtual dance class.

My guys are out at a Scout project all morning.

I've checked my consignment settlement, booked some horseback riding lessons for Dd, had b'fast, and played with the silly dog.

To do:

  • Buy coffee filters!
  • Meal planning, including dinner tonight.
  • Grocery
  • Pay bills
  • Enter new contacts into mom's GrandPad.
  • Encourage kids to do schoolwork.
  • Sign up Ds for Scout MB day in October
  • Pool later? Walk?

I am taking a break from my very hard PT lower body exercises.  I did get through the "Exercise of Death" today though - two sets of ten reps.  This is the first time in a month of trying to work up to that goal that I have succeeded.  I was ready to quit after the first set of ten but muttered "I am Xena" until I got through the second set.  😉

OK - back to the exercises. . .

Oh and now you know my secret.  I post the last few things of my morning routine before I have actually done them because usually I am not back to the computer until long after they are done.

Ugh.  I am batting zero this afternoon.   I looked and looked and looked for the tool that I told my neighbor that she could borrow.  Dh helped me look as well.  No tool.  Then I looked for the window file for the name of the windows we have installed.  Can't find that either and I suspect that the file I was looking for might be "somewhere" in our storage unit.

And now my ankle really hurts after doing my PT exercises to strengthen that stupid ankle.

I've gotten most of my list done today, which is a nice change. Now that it is no longer boiling lava hot here, I don't feel like such a sloth.

I decided not to make dinner, though. We have tons of leftovers that need to get eaten.

Howdie!  I am so glad it is Saturday.  I have a lot of work to do, but nobody is watching and waiting for me to do it.  😛  Also, most of the kids' activities were canceled today.

My kids wanted to have friends over, but I am so stinking sick of them refusing to clean up their messy areas, I said no.  They appealed to an auntie, who convinced them to clean and talked our maids into coming today instead of tomorrow (they haven't been here in about a month).  So I did some pre-maid cleaning, but mostly hid in my room and texted the friends' parents for a hangout tomorrow afternoon.  My kid is also cooking something delicious, so I have that to look forward to.  Other kid set up her gymnastics mats to practice in the backyard.  So yay.

I have lots to do once my serious motivation kicks in.  I did take a nap, does that count?

After the maids leave & after dinner, I plan to do my walking / exercise, and then either get some work (client / personal) done or go to bed, depending on how I feel.

Nap definitely counts, SKL!

Dinner is done and kitchen is tidy.

Made a schedule for Dh so he'll know exactly when he's doing kid pick-up or drop-off this week,

Helping Dd get through her English hw now.

Next up:

read and relax
