If interested, please complete the form below. Deadline: September 10th, 2020. The first meeting will be on September 14th (Monday) at 4:00 pm - 4:40 pm PDT on ZOOM (weekly on Mondays). https://forms.gle/n8bybVtKN9KYoTCfA

Fun! My kiddo is too young, alas. What will they be focusing on?

Thanks for asking.

My son will do math games, introduce math topics and help students prepare for the MATHCOUNTS competition.

Thanks! I was curious if he had specific math games or math topics in mind 🙂 . I've looked at Mathcounts a bit but not a ton -- I did math contests way back when, but I was older than the Mathcounts age.

He will review 50 math topics, which is important for MATHCOUNTS/AMC/Math Olympiad competitions. Math games include riddles, puzzles, Bingo, etc.

Ok, lol. I still feel completely in the dark about what he’ll be covering, though.

MATHCOUNTS is a really fun competition. It covers various math topics. He will send newsletters monthly to all members.

Here are some topics:

  • Number Theory
  • Properties of Integers
  • Angles, Polygons, and Circles
  • Perimeter, Area, and Volume
  • Ratios and Proportions, Sequences and Series
  • Linear Equations and Functions
  • Quadratic Expressions and Equations
  • Coordinate Geometry
  • Counting
  • Probability and Statistics
