KatieJ Posted August 20, 2020 Posted August 20, 2020 (edited) Granddaughter broke her foot and has severe bruising. She is on weight bearing, elevation and ice restrictions for quite a while. She may end up,with surgery . They are waiting on a CT scan. Insurance issues. Sigh. Netflix movie or series suggestions would be great. Update: Thanks for all the suggestions! I am sure she will be happily sorting that list today. Her older brother had his wisdom teeth out this morning. It will be a movie marathon at their house this weekend! PrincessMommy Posted August 20, 2020 Posted August 20, 2020 Everybody has their own line in the sand they won't cross so it can be tricky to suggest movies for someone else's kids... Here's a few suggestions Eureka Travelers NCIS Sense and Sensibility (Emma Thompson one is my preferred) Pride and Prejudice Little Women (Winona Rider's) Young Victoria Always (movie with Holly Hunter) Battlestar Gallactica House Going Postal (if she like quirky) Quote
mommyoffive Posted August 20, 2020 Posted August 20, 2020 We just watched the new baby sitters club and my kids loved it. Quote

Tanaqui Posted August 20, 2020 Posted August 20, 2020 The younger kiddo is the same age, and the two of us just watched Avatar, the Last Airbender (series, NOT movie) on Netflix and now we're watching Kipo and also The Dragon Prince. Non-animation wise, we also binged The Umbrella Academy overnight, though you may want to prescreen for content. 1 Quote
Beth S Posted August 20, 2020 Posted August 20, 2020 Larkrise to Candleford Joan of Arcadia Lots of Dickens, Austen, George Elliot adaptions (costume dramas) I have no idea what's on Netflix, but our local library also has hoopladigital, which is an electronic resource for e-books, audiobooks & movies. I've loved my free Amazon Kindle Unlimited subscription (self-published books of all types--crafts, fiction, etc.) Best wishes for quick (patient) healing of your granddaughter! 1 Quote
Ali in OR Posted August 20, 2020 Posted August 20, 2020 I guess these movies are older (since my kids are older), but for a distraction at that age I like Enchanted and Ramona and Beezus. Depending on her interests, maybe the long Pride and Prejudice set. My kids would love a Harry Potter marathon. 2 Quote

happi duck Posted August 21, 2020 Posted August 21, 2020 The series Glow Up is a fun competition for make-up artists. I second the baking competition Sugar Rush. Quote
KatieJ Posted August 21, 2020 Author Posted August 21, 2020 Update: Her older brother had his wisdom teeth out this am. I am sure this list will be sorted and many watched over the next few days. 1 Quote
