KidsHappen Posted August 18, 2020 Posted August 18, 2020 Preferably ones that counter the claims of anti-vaxxers with hard science and statistics(at a layman's level) hopefully all in one book. So something that deals with all of the various claims anti-vaxxers make that can be read by someone with a high school education. I know lots of anti-vaxxers who would be willing to read such a book if presented with one but they are not willing to do graduate level research to find the information. I don't know of anything to recommend first hand. Quote
wathe Posted August 18, 2020 Posted August 18, 2020 This one is my favourite "Your Child's Best Shot", published by the Canadian Pediatric Society. Solid information, lots of data (with probabilities quoted for both side effects and for various bad disease outcomes), well organized and accessible. I highly recommend it. It's Canadian, so not all the content will apply, but much of it will. 1 Quote
Guest Posted August 18, 2020 Posted August 18, 2020 (edited) Not a book but there was an article on the web years ago written by Jay Wile of Apologia fame, which refuted anti-vax positions and data so thoroughly, that is what brought me over to the pro vax camp. I’ll see if I can still find it and link it here. Here you go. The link with “a small list of lies told” is probably he best link, but they are all good. https://blog.drwile.com/vaccines-one-of-the-greatest-medical-advances-god-has-allowed-us-to-discover/ Edited August 18, 2020 by Quill 1 Quote
Amethyst Posted August 18, 2020 Posted August 18, 2020 How about Vaccines Did Not Cause Rachel’s Autism. I’ve not read it but I’ve heard the author speak and he seems very knowledgeable. Quote
