Toocrazy!! Posted August 17, 2020 Posted August 17, 2020 I admit, we have gotten pretty lax thinking we’re safe outdoors. We have minimal spread in our area, so DH has been golfing with friends, DS has been bike riding with friends, and I’ve been walking and meeting up for drinks outside with friends. We try to stay at least 6 feet away, but we are not masked. Are there any new studies about outside transmission? Have you heard of anyone who thinks they got it outside that couldn’t have gotten it any other way? Quote
Pen Posted August 17, 2020 Posted August 17, 2020 Personal stories of outside transmission, yes. Quite a few now. Idk of studies. Quote
Laura Corin Posted August 17, 2020 Posted August 17, 2020 The Joinzoe project leader mentioned latest results on this. I am staying distant as much as possible outdoors but not getting distressed if I am closer. https://covid.joinzoe.com/post/incidence-update-13-aug 'On top of this, the hot weather which caused concern by making many flock to crowded beaches and parks doesn’t seem to be having the predicted negative impact. Overall, we are pleasantly surprised by the figures this week which are back down to the early July levels and hope that the good news continues.” Quote
