My daughter is an intern at Voice of San Diego and after diving into some data a few weeks ago wrote this article:

SDPD Is Punishing Speech Using a 102-Year-Old City Law .

Well, it worked, and now she wrote this!

SDPD Says it Will Stop Enforcing Seditious Language Law

The City Attorney's office is now going to work towards repealing the ban.   It's so awesome seeing your kids take flight... especially those that seemed to take off much later and with a much more bumpy flight path!

Good for here!

My state does have similar laws regarding language, but the big difference is that there must be a complaint other than a police officer. Police officers are not allowed to be “offended” when a person is sited for something “offensive”.

That's fabulous! How crazy that they were enforcing it even as much as they were, and that the paper it was written on hadn't burst into spontaneous flames due to outraging the constitution.
