Dmmetler Posted August 3, 2020 Posted August 3, 2020 My director just let me know that one of the larger rooms (still on the small side for the building, but bigger than my current one, and it has windows, which my current studio does not) is available. It will let me have both pianos in the same room, so I can play duets/accompaniments and demonstrate while maintaining more social distance, and just plain give us more space and better ventilation. And, it's still not a shared space, which is better for my instruments and also safer during COVID because I don't have to worry about someone else having used the room at 2:00 when my first student comes at 3:00. I'm really hoping that once they have gone to the trouble of moving and retuning the pianos, I'll get to keep the larger space even post-COVID. 17 Quote
Ottakee Posted August 3, 2020 Posted August 3, 2020 That sounds awesome. Our new classroom is in the hole....used the be out patient surgery room....so no windows, etc. 😕 Quote
Guest Posted August 3, 2020 Posted August 3, 2020 I think they are really trying to move people into larger/better ventilated spaces where possible. I am guessing that the preschool will find a use for my former room, even if it's just as storage, especially since they need to spread out, too. Quote
Guest Posted August 4, 2020 Posted August 4, 2020 I'm wondering if I need to get a bigger purifier? My former room was probably not more than 100 SQ feet, and I definitely felt a need for one since it was so small and I would be so close to my students, but my new one is probably at least 300.
