Zebra Posted July 30, 2020 Posted July 30, 2020 I have been grating everything by hand for years. And I am finding that my wrist cannot handle it anymore. I need a new robot! I had a big food processor 20+ years ago but never used it and got rid of it. I also have zero counter space, and very little cabinet space. I grate lots of carrots and A LOT of cheese. I've been buying pre-grated cheese and it is not good IMHO. Maybe I need a small food processor? If so, which one? Anyone have a suggestion for a smaller machine? Quote

Which one I’m not sure though- I have a big Breville that definitely eats counter space. But surely there is a smaller one. Do you by any chance have a KA mixer? They make a grater attachment for them. No, but I do have a Nutrimill Artiste which uses the Bosch attachments I think. Good idea, I hadn't thought of that. 1 Quote

My mom is on her second one (first one lasted many, many years) and she can grate a pound of cheese with it in a few seconds. And all the parts go in the dishwasher (except the motor base of course). KungFuPanda Posted July 31, 2020 Posted July 31, 2020 I’ve had my cuisinart for over 25 years. I keep it under the counter and pull it out 3-4 times a month to do big grating jobs. This week I grated zucchini and Asiago for fritters and sliced pepperoni for pizza. Mine has a dough hook too so it’s handy for making one pizza crust. Quote

Pippen Posted July 31, 2020 Posted July 31, 2020 I hear you on the wrist. I have a food process (large and small) for those, but I've been looking for a small electric device that would finely mince garlic and herbs. Quote
