CecilyCT Posted July 29, 2020 Posted July 29, 2020 Hi! We will be homeschooling our twin 9 year olds this year. I am a second grade teacher in a public school and will most likely be teaching online. I am looking for online courses in science and writing for them. I love the look of the Brave Writer courses for writing but they are full for September and October (I did request to be on the waiting list). If you have any classes that you recommend I would love to hear! Thank you! Cecily Quote
fourisenough Posted July 29, 2020 Posted July 29, 2020 I love Center for Lit’s Elementary literature class with writing. The writing my DD10 produced last year was easily middle school level. Very, very clear instruction in a supportive, fun environment. Take a look! https://www.centerforlit.com 1 Quote
Guest Posted July 29, 2020 Posted July 29, 2020 My DD loved Professor Suki’s classes at Athena’s Academy. I’m guessing they’re probably full for this fall, though. Quote
Nam2001 Posted July 29, 2020 Posted July 29, 2020 My 9 year old is taking the Young Scientist class at this online school: https://myfunscience.com Quote
CecilyCT Posted July 30, 2020 Author Posted July 30, 2020 Thank you all for the suggestions! I will look into these. 🙂 Quote
kiwik Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 Lantern English or Time4writing are not live online but email based. With 2 nine year olds though unless they are unusually disciplined you will need to be teaching them several hours a day. Quote
